Make sure you did the HTTPS settings correctly as shown in the Installation steps.
yep. did that. thank you very much. and sorry for some of the nonsensical questions. never downloaded this before.
If Norton removes the files again after the Auto-Protect is enabled again, set the folder or the files as exceptions in the antivirus:
thanks man i’ll keep that in mind.
@Urben Sorry to disturb you, but I want to know if you have studied the things I sent you before, because I still have such a problem until now
I love the mod, but I can’t figure out how to mark more than 5 people. Is that a even a feature of the mod? Other people have said that it is but I can’t quite figure out if that’s true.
You dont mark them but still kill them. In the editor you can toggle to add all non-target kills as Any/Any targets. This is limited to a total target sum of 20. If you want more you have to manually edit a contract json.
tbh before i knew about HCCE i thought having more than one target was a hidden feature in Hitman 3.
Some clarifications on how recreating works
I’m sure others have figured this out but I’m writing this up anyways because some parts of HCCE Recreator are unintuitive, and also the new update introduced some functions that were not fully explained above. Hopefully this is somewhat helpful.
Refer to the post I replied to for the basics on how HCCE works. A key point here (also pointed out in other posts above) is that Fiddler might be installed into ‘…\Documents\Fiddler2\Scripts
’ and not …\Program Files\Fiddler2\Scripts
. Check both locations.
What kind of contracts you can download
You can download contracts into JSON format by using "Save Contract as InsertPlatform) in the HCCE “Save/Pubish Contracts” tool, regardless if that contract was originally made with HCCE or not.
This is pretty big because you used to not be able to use HCCE with contracts made the normal way IIRC, but now you can as per the last update.
Next let’s talk about some recreation scenarios.
Scenario 1: You “own” the game yourself on multiple platforms
You only need to own the correct map when it comes to the platform you are publishing on.
You don’t need to own the correct map for the platform you are downloading from. You also don’t need the correct game version for the platform you are downloading from.
Example: Let’s say you own Hitman 2 (the 2018 release version) on Steam, while you own Hitman 3 (just Dubai to Romania, to keep it simple) on Epic.
You can download a Dubai contract originally made on Hitman 3 Steam version into a JSON, and then republish this Dubai contract onto Hitman 3 Epic version. Even if you don’t own Dubai on Steam for Hitman 3.
It doesn’t go both ways though, you can’t publish a Dubai contract onto Hitman 3 Steam version if you don’t own Hitman 3 on Steam.
Note: You do need to own the game in some way on the platform you’re downloading from; I believe that having a demo version of either Hitman 2 or Hitman 3 (and then linking this to your IOI account) is enough if you don’t want to spend extra money buying the game again.
Scenario 2: You want to download and/or publish a contract on a platform you don’t own
If you want to download a contract from a platform that you don’t own, then get a friend who does have the game on that platform to download the contract into JSON format, and then have them send the JSON file to you (which you can then publish onto the platform you want).
If you want to publish a contract on a platform you don’t own, then you download the contract, then send the contract JSON to your friend on another platform to publish.
Remember, publishing a contract will check if the recreator owns the map in question, but downloading a contract will not check location ownership (provided you own H2 or H3 at all on said platform).
New to me but okay.
For which platforms can you confirm that?
I’ve confirmed that I’m able to download Hitman 3 contracts set in Dubai to Mendoza, originally made on Steam.
I don’t even own Hitman 3 on Steam, I only own Hitman 2 and 2016 on Steam.
I’m also able to download contracts from Season 1 and Season 2 maps originally made on Steam for Hitman 3, just to be clear lol.
(And is talking about the WOA trilogy versions always this confusing /s)
how do i fill in the token input? when i press fill from IOI account login it keeps taking me to Microsoft edge instead of chrome and blocks me from entering it.
Login to the site that opens and return to HCCE. If you want to use another than the default browser, right-click the button to paste the link into the clipboard.
okay copied it. where’s and what is the clipboard?
okay don’t know what i did but it worked.
also what data? @Urben if i click on the platform i am on does it delete my data? just want to know cause i don’t want to accidentally delete my data.
Chrome seems to detect Fiddler and warns you that someone might track what you do there.
That is exactly what my tool does.
You can click on “Advanced” and there is probably something like “Still continue”.
You only log into your platform. That website is for deleting or requesting your data, but you do nothing of that. After the login you just go back to HCCE and see if the token was inserted.
thanks for the info. just checking cause i do not want to lose any of the cool suits i’ve obtained.
