As long HCCE somehow swallowed it and recognized it as some platform, it might work anyway. I still think it is a miracle it somehow works for like all platforms, even if HCCE is suffering the death by a thousand cuts.
I’m gonna explore if I rewrite HCCE from scratch after all the things I learned so it is more stable and easier for me to maintain. Some stuff is not used much which was quite some deal to set up, like identifying which items are available on which maps… Ideally it would just be one program you install, no Fiddler + setup.
Sorry for not responding sooner (I don’t really venture over here much these days ). If there’s still interest, I’d be happy to at least update HCCE to support the new domain.
No, I haven’t tried it yet since the Data Manager specifications were changed.
I might give it a try once I have an idea for the next contract I want to create.
I had some free time, so I created a contract and ran two tests:
・Create a contract on PS and retrieve the contract’s JSON file using HCCE.
・Create a contract on Steam without uploading it immediately; retrieve the JSON file using HCCE, then attempt to upload that JSON file via HCCE.
In both cases, an error message like the one in the attached image appeared, and the process could not be completed. It seems there was an issue involving the token.
Okay according to the logs I was sent the IO server answer the contract lookup and creation with an internal server error. This usually does not mean there is something wrong with the token but the way HCCE works. It is a bit concerning that the server does not response with a proper error but some internal exception. I still hope this is just a temporary effect but there might need to be done more work to get it working again.
In the meantime I would like some feedback of other people testing HCCE. For example, does the ingame creation of the contract for Steam/Epic users work where you use my tool to publish the contract? Stuff like that.
I can only fix stuff when I can assume it works on PC, where I can investigate how this stuff works, is the same as it works on console, where I cannot check the traffic.
But I doubt they made the two differ, that would make no sense. So HCCE working on PC could mean it still is a token matter.
Can you @Belmont78 (or someone else on PC) send me two tokens?
A PC token acquired from the game (you should be able to copy it from HCCE)
A PC token acquired from the website login
I would like to compare them. You could also test yourself if you can use the token from 2. to look up or publish a contract.
I immediately tested the latest token retrieval method; I encountered no 500 errors and successfully retrieved the contract JSON file from PS, as well as created contracts for Xbox, Switch, Steam, and Epic Games using that file.
It appears this token retrieval method will work without issues.
I’ve done a handful of testing, and everything seems to be working well (except for one error when saving a contract JSON, but it still seems to work just fine). You can download the latest version here . @Urben , would you be able to update your original post at the top with this new version?
