Thanks for the flowers and I totally understand reluctancy.
I hope I can turn it around and show you, that my Silverballer has the bullets(?). :DDD
Oh yeah, I definitely think I’m gonna like hearing what you have to say, even if you can’t share much.
I will for sure get back to you regarding the lore!
I already had a Hitman lore stream in mind and I believe that will be a great opportunity to collaborate.
I will put on the detective hat regarding the mod stuff. ![]()
Thank you so much for your reply, it means a lot to me and I am looking forward to the future
. I’m also looking forward to the streams and I want to say thank you for taking in the feedback and sharing it on.
Also you seem really nice and I’m loving your interest in mods! Hopefully Dribbleondo’s answer was clear enough for you about stuff. Some of us modders have made some short showcase videos but nothing official. I suppose the only other time I can remember mods being mentioned (apart from roulette) is here:

Oh and I was talking about the black world map background! ![]()
My blossom one is from a fundraiser mod I made for a friend in need.
(gosh I really need to update the mod page!)
I think a lot of players would like to see the always-online requirement removed from the game, people have been complaining about it since 2016 and there’s really no reason for strictly single player content to be locked behind a 24/7 internet connection. It’s enough to put people off to the game, or IOI’s future games, which is too bad because Hitman is such a great game. Just look at the comments about it here
https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/1p3bijq/io_interactive_ceo_says_were_onto_something_with/
I know I’m not alone here, and I probably won’t buy the 007 game if it’s similarly always-online like Hitman is.
Welcome to the community! Nice to see a IOI face around here again. I mirror most of the other concerns, but having someone actually communicating with us instead of just trying to placate us with corpo speak is nice! Hope everyone treats you well, I understand at the end of the day, it is a job and IOI’s choices are not you own. ![]()
Kind of a longshot, but while you’re acknowledging modders, it would be cool if some of the stuff for generating mugshots could be left in retail builds (IE, 47’S pose for the suit images or even the scene for it would be really cool!) As of now, we have to manually recreate them with photoshop and it’s not a great experience lol. But I know that’s kind of a big ask, so don’t sweat too much about it if not possible.
I think IO is in don’t-ask-don’t-tell mode regarding mods. They somewhat like them but are also afraid to confirm them being okay given what they might be able to do in the future.
Sure it would be cool if there was a mod showcase, but poking bears might be not the outcome anyone wants. ![]()
I suppose I’ll chime in here too and welcome you to the forum @IOI_Artjoms. I recommend you read through a thread (Here: IO's communication with the community) to learn about some of the frustration we have had with IOI and how they have communicated (or didn’t) with the community.
Several years ago communication with IOI was great. Clemens was a really good community spokesperson and was a regular member of this forum. Then he left and CombatGlue took over and things just seemed to go south from there. Without getting into a lot of detail that can be found in that thread I linked, he spent a lot of time streaming games on various platforms and very little time actually being a community manager (it seems). Hopefully you’ll be able to right that ship a bit!
So welcome to the forum and I hope it’s a good sign of things to come!
Maybe you can start by telling us when the next roadmap will be released?
I’ll check it with the team if that is something we can facilitate. I’ll follow up when I know more. ![]()
Actually the first question here is when the Ghost Mode will be finally revived?
Haha, that is far from the first question, I think…
Omg, thanks for being willing to ask!
Yeah, I checked out the thread last week when I had a bit of time between onboarding meetings. Will get back into it with a bit more breathing room, but I appreciate the short breakdown. ![]()
I know Clemens a bit, since I asked him a few things regarding Community management throughout last year and we both live in Copenhagen. Back then I didn’t know, that I would more or less follow his footsteps.
He was also one of the first to congratulate me when I got the job.
Also next roadmap is coming monday I was told. ![]()
I’m really glad that you know Clemens and have gone over things with him! That’s a really good sign! Monday for the roadmap is more information than we had before so thank you for that!
Christmas came early for the Hitmanforum today ![]()
Welcome, Arti.
Btw, which genius in the marketing team came up with the idea of giving off a paid DLC for free? I’m not spending one more buck on this game. Who knows if content I paid for today will become free tomorrow?
I can certainly ask, who came up with it, but I don’t know how this info would help. It is also common practice like e.g. the PS+ games, which you could play and keep for free (minus subscription cost) and people a week earlier or later paid for them. It is just unfortunate timing and you were able to enjoy the content potentially way before the other players getting it now for free. How long ago was it, that you bought it?
Hey Artjom, welcome to the forum ![]()
Idea: try again and stream it, then do the same with all the other games…or at least with Silent Assassin and Contracts ![]()
Or even better: get Rasmus Hojengaard to play Codename 47 on stream and Interview him about developing it 25 years ago. Neither Travis, Clemens or Samir could do this for…reasons, i guess?
But it would be soooo nice to have at least something Codename 47 related to celebrate 25 years of Hitman.
It was a year ago. I can see your reasoning, your theory made me feel a lot better. Thank you!
Would you consider doing a topic on the forum about questions for IO/ to forward on to IO after this topic has quietened? ![]()
It would be very handy to have a place to go to that is obvious for newcomers as well as it being a dedicated place for doing so.
If you do go ahead with this, I’d recommend linking the feedback threads and bug reporting website so people can easily find the right place for things. Speaking of the feedback threads, I don’t think they are the official way of doing things but maybe you could still forward them on!
