47 still has that hellspawned Frankenstein head mesh in Hitman 1 legacy map disguises, the Raven Suit, and Sniper Assassin maps (Himmelstein and Hantu Port).
All of these menial fixes and no fixing of a fault that plagues 1/3 of the game/trilogy (Hitman 2 legacy map disguises change the Hitman 3 head mesh slightly as well (primarily the brow region), but not nearly as noticeably as Hitman 1 legacy map disguises, etc.). My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
This isn’t me against IOI; this is me PRAISING the job Per Haggmark did with 47’s character model in Hitman 3 and wanting it to be consistent and untarnished throughout the entire WoA trilogy. Just make the necessary tweaks to consistently use Per Haggmark’s unchanged Hitman 3 head mesh throughout the entire trilogy and stop being lazy, IOI. No truly worthy modern GotY contender makes lazy design compromises like this. You’d never see such an amateurish inconsistency in the 3D model of the main player character in a Rockstar or Naughty Dog game, for instance.
What is this amateurish egghead rubbish, IOI? Hitman 3 Agent 47 in the Hitman 1 legacy Sapienza “Lab Technician” disguise transforms from the peak of facial and cranial development to a slimy low-brow goober Patrick Stewart wannabe Cro-Magnon cave-dwelling monkey searching for a bone.
Just @ someone like @Travis_IOI and they’ll probably solve it for you. There’s a pretty reliable bug report ticket feature
Not to reopen an old wound but isnt Lucas Grey also supposed to be driving some of the exits like the boat near the funeral and the helicopter on the keep with the flare?
Ray tracing looks nice but the performance hit was more than I was expecting on an overclocked 3090. I play on a 4k TV so I’m forced to use DLSS performance mode with reflections on low and FPS still dip below 60 at times. Probably gonna need a 4000 series to play this maxed out and even then the DLSS implementation is blurry. Probably be 4 years before a card can play this at 4k60 without DLSS. Pretty crazy.
One thing that does work nicely is DLSS quality mode combined with 2.25 DLDSR. It renders at 6K and AI down samples to 1440P and then AI up samples back to a 4K output at about 90FPS. These settings add a nice bit of detail and clarity over native 4k without any blurring. For now that’s probably how I’m going to play it with raytracing disabled and everything else maxed out.
I don’t know where I’d put this, but can I just say that the way the WOA Hitman puts detail into changing disguises is a really cool feature?
What I mean specifically, is how it handles specific disguise changes. 47 literally puts on the outfit the other NPC is wearing.
If you have a Hacker with a hood up or down, your disguise will be up or down, depending on what it is.
Mansion guard with a white pattern? Solid red shirt? Sunglasses? Those details will be on your outfit when you change into it.
That one security guard missing a hat? You’ll be missing a hat when you take his clothes too.
It’s a neat detail that I really love about the mechanic. Any other game could have used the same outfits for every NPC disguise archetype, but not in HITMAN.
Ah, reminds me of everyone freaking out about 47’s Mumbai shirtless laundry worker disguise. Good time! Now when can we get Subject 47 as a suit unlock?
Subject 47 as an unlock, AND the ability to play Carpathian Mountains with any suit/loadout I want. I feel like after you get full mastery on that level, you should be able to experiment and play around a little more. If IOI just implemented that simple upgrade, people would be replaying that much-maligned level many times over. Just saying.
The elimination used to make the same loud noise as a normal non-silenced pistol shot makes. Ever since it’s broken, the audio is very muted. The latest update didn’t make any changes to that audio. I tested it just now on different maps.
