Hitman 3 - 3.130 - October 6th Patch Notes

Please don’t remove propane accidents :frowning:

Instead make Master mode work like Pro mode from H1 and restore suspicious objects so you can’t run around in a tuxedo with a propane flask anymore

I’m not sure if it’s a confirmed change, but it seems way easier to kill guards in the Carpathian mountains now. They aren’t bullet sponges anymore.

I’m a fan of the massive amount of bug fixes in this update, along with the new entrance in Mendoza, though I think the secret Requiem Shrine exit is still probably closer for most instances.

My attention has been drawn to the ET Image updates and the fixed entrance image for the Haven Restaurant. Most notably in the latter is the fact they used the current H3 47 face, making it standout against the other disguise entrances on Haven. I think a fresh pass at the older legacy images, like the old ETs or entrances that use old 47 faces, would be a welcomed thing to continue. As long as there is time and staff available to retake/remake them.

So, the target, guards behind them and at a reasonable enough distance that throwing the molotov won’t kill them, can’t see the front of the target, who could have a molotov stuffed into their clothes and are in the process of pulling it out and lighting it, out of view of the guards, meanwhile the player throws a coin behind the guards and they all turn and look away from the target, then the bottle is thrown, there’s the fire, the guards turn around as the target burns, see it’s clearly a Molotov from the broken glass, who the heck threw that, don’t see anyone around, nobody’s talking or panicking about it, did he have it himself and he dropped it when he heard that noise we heard, must have… that couldn’t happen?

You are the master commentator of 2 days. Congrats. And…for nothing🤟 Things are how they are. Wow!

The molotov was definitely too ‘abuse-able’, I agree. But I think just completely removing the accident part of it is just way too big of a nerf. I honestly would have preferred that they kept it in its semi-broken state than just making it completely useless. At least that way people can get some fun out of it. And ‘a propane flask that explodes on contact’ is something we’ve never had before, so I feel like that alone does open some options. Assuming the molotov got nerfed to a state similar to the propane flask, it would probably work as an alternative to the flask that is easier to set up, but more difficult to pull off.

To my knowledge, the only map that doesn’t have any propane flasks is the ICA Facility. Most of the other maps have several of them scattered across the map, so they usually aren’t too difficult to come by. It was a bit trickier in the Season 1 maps since they were generally a bit more restrictively designed than those of Seasons 2 and 3, but even then it still gave you a fair few options. The only tricky one that springs to mind is Hokkaido where there’s literally one flask on the whole map. It is more satisfying having to actually hunt for the item you need I suppose. But I just see the molotov as a viable alternative to the propane flask in certain situations, or at least that’s what it should be.

Never even occurred to you, did it. :man_facepalming:

I like that we have it, but I doubly enjoy that they kind of went above and beyond in making it a proper exit

There’s a whole exit cutscene of the car driving away, gates opening and closing, multiple camera angles. I was just expecting a straight cut-to-results like with the Requiem suit exit, or any of the other special 7DS “exits” where 47 just sits down.

From reddit :

martinansdal Mendoza Car Exit

Apparently, in the end, Martin Skov Ansdal (The Farewell track owner) did manage to lobby the exit and cutscene.

Ohh, so it was kind of a cut exit all along! I know there was a mod made (only recently?) that gave you a car exit, but it’s nice that they finally found the time to work on that car exit for real

Exiting via a glass of wine? How would that work??

They also cut an easter egg exit from Chongqing (Into the Matrix), which was to do with the arcade machines apparently.

I haven’t had a chance to play this version yet. Is the cool Cyperpunk easter egg where the megaphone guy in Marrakech is clipping into one of the rioters still in effect?

Maybe via drinking some wine, tho it’d be hilarious if 47 could jump into a pulveriser and exit as a wine glass. Barrels out of bound sounded like a good exit

https://www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/xxzqgy/i_wanted_to_post_here_how_beautifully_the/ found this interesting if it was a stealth patch. i dont use the majestic tho so i just assume the purple is just the chongqing neon affecting it

OFF, DLSS, XeSS, FSR 2.1 . All max settings. For Chongqing specifically, XeSS seems to be better choice

Even though IOI having independence is probably better for them creatively, I can only wonder what Hitman would look like if the original plans had gone shook out. WoA with the Square Enix budget and production and all together in one title.

Still super pleased with what we have, but I’ll never not be curious about it.

There’s another example in The Author mission, in the house of the girl doing push-ups.

Different audio distraction devices have different ranges. Micro is smallest, the rest are fairly medium, napoleon I think is a bit further, and the phones and snail have huge ranges. They also all have discreetly unique behaviours that can be utilised for some very interesting gameplay if you know about them. Unfortunately like most things in this trilogy, most of the mechanics are not made clear by the game and have to be carefully studied and figured out by the community. I use them all the time in my runs.

Still, the devices are all very nerfed compared to how they were in Hitman 2. I’ve used them a couple times, both big and small, but I struggle to remember a time it was useful or worked the way I’d expect in H3

I didn’t know they had different ranges now, I thought they all had the same one! — an extremely short range!

It is actually “whine” as an exit. “Agent47 yells, damn it ! There is supposed to be a friggin’ exit here.” And then the exit appears.
