Overall good patch but I think they overnerfed the Molotov, now It’s just another useless item that nobody will ever use on a SA run besides a convoluted contract. I think by just fixing being able to kill through walls and the dartgun exploit it would have been a strong but still fairly balanced item. You still needed some skill on getting the timing and distance righ and you couldn’t use It anywhere either because you could kill non targets, so it wasn’t just a portable free kill like the cheese phone. They shouldn’t have even bother making a non accident fire kill exclusive for this item since you are going to lose SA anyway, there’s no point on going for a fire or explosive kill.
There are more practical loud explosives on the game already so I don’t think I’m ever going to touch the Molotov again besides just having fun killing people.

Unfortunately, no as some of the elusive targets have not yet released so that would be spoiling it (and we’re obviously not allowed to do that outside of the leak section).
These are the only two that have released. These can be seen in-game whether that’s through the arcade or the normal elusive route.
I hope they do it for more (especially 2016 targets!) they look SO much better.
I’m starting to get really worried because I seem to be the ONLY person having huge issues since the patch, technical-wise. I stutter in every map to some extent, VRAM usage is up, and Mendoza is literally unplayable now. It stutters EVERYWHERE. I mean… what the fuck? What am I to do here? I can’t seem to find advice because I seem to be the only one dealing with it.
Since they added new Mendoza exit, could they also add car exit from Politican ET to Hawke’s Bay? I really don’t need to jug across whole beach to leave the map. Maybe you could unlock it after you finish mission for first time.

In my mind, IOI should just get rid of the distance calculations, which aren’t that easy to learn, as targets are followed by guards, meaning the only viable throw is “in front” of them, making the radius and distance calculations finnicky and tricky to the point that it feels inconsistent. And oftentimes cover can screw you over; it just takes a lot of save scumming to do one throw, which is always a sign of good design decisions.
Even the Kalmer/Sieker, you get at least two darts before having to reload your save, and movements can be compensated for as you can use it behind someone as guards don’t get in the way in the same way (and even if they do, that’s actively beneficial to you).
A fiery molotov thrown out of nowhere giving you an accident kill just doesn’t feel right, but in it’s current state, it feels as useless as the other explosives. You can see the bind i’m in, and I’ve no clue how they could fix it really. Maybe make it have a detonator like a remote explosive? That way it feels more like an accident akin to an oil barrel, rather than a thrown explosive.

a potential idea could be an option to either throw it and create an explosion or drop/shoot it to create an oil puddle? or maybe when you throw it it creates the explosion and the fire and all that but then also creates a puddle, so you still have to create a loud noise and be mindful of collateral but now it’s sort of like you have to find where a target will be, make sure no one else is there AND then throw it as a set up then run away to go shoot the puddle youve made from a distance when the target walks over
or maybe IO will never touch it again because whats done is done lol. theyve never tried adding the lancer feature back into the main game so it’s way too optimistic to expect them to touch this again. they hate controversy and always appeal to keeping the loudest people happy
