It is, and since IOI’s gonna remove it anyway, it seems to me like they’re just doing it for the brownie points. Instead of us being disappointed it’s gone on April 13th, we’ll be disappointed it’s gone on May 11th. (Plus, it’s featured heavily in the Greed roadmap, so it probably helps that they extend it to the end of it so the roadmap – overall – has ‘more content’ and causes less confusion and sadness to anyone who might buy into H3 after April 12th.)
While I don’t see myself re-playing it more than once or twice again, I am interested in the breakable Egg props people found out in the past week. Some of the targets stand suspiciously close to objects you should be able to sabotage, but a lot of the tools to do that were (seemingly) removed from the level. Could be cool to see how many bunnies I can kill without using the Easter Eggs.
This has me excited and worried for the next roadmap.
If it ends up being underwhelming again, it could be really disheartening for the community, especially since the more “interesting content” we’ve got now – like the Egg Hunt – will also disappear that day. But, if it’s got some cool stuff in it, the loss of the Easter level might not feel so bad.
Seasonal Events have a history of being permanently being implemented during their second release. This has been evident with HITMAN 2 with Holiday Hoarders and The Snow Festival.
My assumption is for HITMAN 3 and it’s content cycle is we are gonna have at-least two years of support for the game in terms of content updates and bug fixes.
The Seven Deadly Sins Seasons is the only new content so far that we know is going. The final season is slated to end near the end of the year.
October
Halloween Event - This is gonna consist of reimplementing the Halloween Escalation, but and take my claim with a grain of salt we should expect something new this time around outside the obvious 7DS Content.
December
Christmas Event - This is obviously where we will see Holiday Hoarders again. I honestly don’t know what to expect during this timeframe, but if IO advertises Holiday Hoarders as a “surprise” similar to HITMAN 2.
I can guarantee the idea of people not being happy over content a lot of us completed through the transfer progress.
January
Anniversary Event - This is gonna celebrate one year of HITMAN 3. Not much I can say regarding this, but see this as usually a big content filled month to celebrate one year.
examples are HITMAN 2 Roadmaps and don’t represent HITMAN 3 and it’s content cycle
With that said and done what’s to come after this point is entirely up in the air. I think that we will have one last paid for expansion for year two, but it will be released all at once with no catch to it.
I don’t know where else to put this but I’m one challenge off from completing the trophies in hitman 3 on PS4 however the trophy “shortcut killer” has still not worked even tho I’ve searched them up and have found them all already, Is there something missing or is it just another glitch like the challenge “estate wines”
Exactly we got a lot to look forward to in terms of new content and we will have better roadmaps and content updates in the future despite how lackluster April may be.
Yeah exactly, I know the Seven Deadly Sins DLC will be spread over the year, but I’m still hoping for some side mission DLC like ‘A House Built On Sand’ and ‘The Icon’ etc.
It doesn’t seem like you need to download anything (unless they forgot to mention that in the blog post), so this is probably IOI testing how to stream/download-by-proxy the Landslide mission for those who don’t have access to it (or the main mission).
In future, the free to play content will be highlighted in the HITMAN 3 Seasonal Roadmaps.
Seems like we’ll have a greater understanding of future free Starter pack content in other roadmaps. (And the cynic in me says: “this’ll only take up more space on the tiny free roadmaps”)
yeah, H3 automatically downloads every single content in the game, even if you dont own it. then when you buy it or IOI gives it for free, you download an “ownership key” and it unlocks the content.
