HITMAN 3 announcements

It looks like we get a new dartgun. At least a new design. But no conformation what it will do. Just a reskin? Poison? Accident?
I’m more interested in another question: How far can you shoot with a gun like this? Always wondered about that. Tried it in the street in Whittleton Creek. Just shot at a 45 degree angle (should be the best) down the street and tried to find the dart. Never found it. So: What’s the longest distance you ever shot someone with a Kalmer oder Sieker?
This question could be relevant. If you could shoot all over the map it surely is massively overpowered. But if you have to be within a reasonable distance: Why not? Still very powerful but at least you have to get near the target.

All over the map:

But it is very hard to do and on such distance the gun’s spread will add RNG to it.
In my video I would estimate the angle is 20 degrees, so the max range can be much further than that.

Thanks for finally clearing that up for me. Was driving me crazy.

Top #3 Hitman kill after the Weaponized Parrot and @GuLe’s Flying Hay Bale.

Edit :
I realize that if I take my sentence out of context, it doesn’t make any sense :joy:

Guys do we know if the first person view is locked only behind the vr? Because I’d love playing that way for adding immersion like in old Hitman games… in blood money I always turn on first person when I want to take things slow and calm and just enjoy the level and scenery… I really hope this mode can be added even without vr

It is confirmed 1st person mode is exclusive to VR.

Thank you Urben i’d Really loved that though… I wonder if in the future IOI will add this mode even in the “base game”

If not you might be lucky if mods can enable it somehow for PC users.

One thing is seeing things with a static camera another is going around the map in first persone view

But the Hitman series has the best of both worlds. The games still feel like a fresh start because of the way IO Interactive positions them. And yet I can also go back and play any of the stages from the early games.

All of these elements combine to make Hitman a model for how a series should work. IO is delivering a steady stream of new content. Each game feels like a full, new sequel, but you don’t have to leave anything behind. That includes levels, as well as your overall progress. And when a new sequel comes out, the old content gets some visual improvements. It’s how more games should work.

I prefer not to know the rest of the locations, I rather be taken by surprise by whats to come. Then knowing every single level. In any other game series, knowing every level before you played them wouldn’t be very exciting.

Same, I haven’t watched a single trailer from Hitman 3, I will experience it myself, a bit of a gamble when thinking of my disappointing buy of Cybepunk 2077 for PS4, but I trust IO-I will give us a working game from day one, few bugs is acceptable.
