That’s nice and all, but who is really benefitting from that? H2016 has been free or on deep sale so many times now, and players who are buying Hitman 3 for £60 as soon as it comes out are defo not gonna be people who didn’t play the previous games so would likely have access to that content in H3 regardless of this limited time bonus. Still, I’m not saying it’s bad, just a bit redundant.

first thing im gonna do when the game comes out is check youtube to see how that 6th location plays out.
This is an access pack, so I doubt this will have anything to do for longterm players. I think this applies to those who’re just buying the game from H3 onwards and hook in any newer players to play the previous locations.
It’s been pretty consistent with the previous games so far as IOI offered some sort of access pack in the past - any longterm players shouldn’t need to worry about this as far as I’m aware.

Regardless, since many people here are going to buy H3 either in day one or soon after, acquiring thr Legacy Pack doesn’t seem like it’ll be much of a problem for anyone.
Of course I don’t, it is called making assumptions. The pitch forks can be put away because I am not being negative about the game, just pointing out that this deal likely won’t affect many people, and if it does, more power to them.
Maybe this is the DLC confirmation many of us have been waiting?
Nothing to do with future H3 DLC, dude, it’s an offer to get the H1 GOTY content for early purchasers who don’t already have it.

GOTY edition is also locked as purchase, this might be due to the fact that I have already pre-ordered H3.

Day One Patch
HITMAN 3 will require a day one patch for all disc users. The day one patch will be automatically applied to digital players. This patch will include access to the VR mode for PlayStation users and will include the remaining locations that are not included on the disc.

Progression Carryover
All current HITMAN 2 players will be able to carryover their hard-earned progression into HITMAN 3.After completing the carryover process, HITMAN 2 players will be able to start HITMAN 3 with their existing player profile, XP rank, location mastery levels, location mastery unlocks, challenge progress, challenge unlocks and Elusive Target suits/unlocks. All of those things are what we call ‘progression’. It’s not possible to pick and choose elements to carryover. It’s all or nothing.
The carryover process requires an IOI Account and can only be done through a web browser, it’s not possible to do it in-game. We will have the website ready to go before launch, but it is not live yet. Once it is ready, we will share the news via ioi.dk and update this post.
Important to note that Progression transfer can only be used on the platform you’re on. PlaystationX to PlaystationY, XboxX to XboxY, PC Steam to PC Epic. It can only be done once and once only.
Ooh, this bit here is very very important:
– If you have already started playing HITMAN 3 and THEN choose to perform the progression carryover process, you will lose all progression earned within HITMAN 3 up to that point. We recommend you carryover progress before starting HITMAN 3.

Pre-load
It will be possible to pre-load HITMAN 3 on PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Make sure that you’ve configured your console to do that and the downloads will begin when they have been prepared and certified. On PC, there won’t be a pre-load option for HITMAN 3 and downloads will begin at the above release time.
I’m not surprised that the pre-load won’t be available on pc, it wasn’t with any of the other two games. Which makes the chances of me playing it on release rather slim. I’ll just have to play it when I got the time for it.

The HITMAN 2 Standard Access Pass and HITMAN 2 Gold Access Pass will be 80% off for 14 days after the launch of HITMAN 3 on Epic Games Store and will continue to be discounted regularly.
Our hope is that these initiatives help to ensure all HITMAN 3 PC players can able to enjoy the new game with full access to HITMAN 1 and their progression carried over as a minimum.
I wonder if this means that us who already bought H2 have to purchase it again, or if this is only for the users who haven’t bought it.
