Ahh those good old daysđ©
Forgot about that one, heheâŠ
Wonât be able to sleep tonightđ°
Just skipping the scary ambient part and getting to the action part.
Crossing my fingers for some Contracts Mode changes
Gave it a listen, I have to witness it ingame first. It sounds stunning, but I donât see it working out yet with the things you do in the menu. Like planning, browsing, etc.
everything makes more sense with context⊠dont knock it til you try it, that sort of thing
To me this sounds like a granular entrance to a horror movie (think 80s movies onwards). Iâd imagine the licensing screen is played from the beginning and at 0:56 is the start menu. At least from what I can tell from most keynotes.
Thank god! Best change ever!!
I see we have another Music Discussion coming. So, in my opnion folks are too hard on By Nielsen. Yes, heâs not Kyd, but thatâs not a Bad Thing. I rather have a Composer staying true to their Sounds than trying to imitate someone elses, also in my opnion especially Tracks like the Mumbai Themes, which names Iâll problably now tomorow are just fantastic and shouldnât be considered less good, just because itâs not from Kyd.
Niels > Jesper
Iâm saving the track until I play the game, unlike basically everything else lmao.
You really have to listen to other two gameâs tracks by themselves to see how well they compliment the story of the game.
Nobody is saying heâs bad at composing. Some of his tracks are actually pretty good. However, new soundtrack IS more bland. It also lacks originality, since it is HEAVILY influenced by bond movies and conveys their feeling more than that of Hitman games.
When you say Hitman games, do you mean the older ones? I think the music conveys the feeling of the trilogy perfectly. It would make little sense if music has to fit a previous thing.
This is so cool! Congratulations!
But may I ask⊠why? No offence, just wondering
Time for me to pull a Winterbirds and vanish
âŠjust kidding of course. GG to everyone who was included â itâs quite the honor to be included myself
I agree that the gap between Kyd and By Nielsen is far smaller than people make it out to be (especially when I listen to the Whittleton Creek soundtrack), but I find that most of the new tracks are way too forgettable. Every track produced by Kyd was pure gold, compared to only SOME which By Nielsen has done, like the Janus theme.
There is an underlying tone that connects all the previous games, and by extension itâs soundtracks.
I feel it could be best described as ominous. Thatâs because in older games you werenât playing as a secret agent/spy but as the ultimate biological weapon. That tone is gone in the new trilogy and is replaced by 007 vibe, which is sad.
Or alternatively, much much more fun.
