I’m at a crossroads on one change for Consistent Colorado:

Should I remove this box?

  • No!

Longtime Colorado fan here, no!!! The box is too iconic. It’s small little instances like map terrain that fascinate me in terms of getting angles or worldbuilding geometry that I absolutely love.

Okay, so the poll is over, and the box stays…

But it isn’t staying there. I’m sorry, but this box has always irritated me when climbing up or down that window (compare this to climbing into and out of the window in Aron Ford’s office, which is a much smoother process, it’s just janky by comparison in Colorado).

I’ll probably move it to be either side of the window, I can’t foresee that causing any problems.

what if the box slowly chased after 47 and once it touches him he instantly dies

I wonder if dumping bodies out of it without the box would make a sound that the guys on the roof would hear and investigate?

Since I had been thinking of saying this but hadn’t… What about the corner of that garage having a climbable drain pipe? I mean, there already is a drain pipe, but it doesn’t function as ‘climbable’. Unless a light or camera is in the way.

That’s not a bad thing to check. I’ll take a look.

Has anyone successfully modded WoA on Linux/Steam Deck? Got the game there and hope to get Freelancer variations up and running

FV in particular has issues because it uses scripts. You need to manually remove the scripts from the manifest and duplicate chunks 7 and 2 to chunk 8 as patches.

Then you’ll need to give the modding SDK the last deploy location, same for peacock if you use it. (this is in the appdata area, under a simple mod framework folder, inside the proton compat data for the mod manager)

Thanks for the explanation. This is basically alien to me, so I guess I’m not modding it!

It sounds daunting, but isn’t too bad imo. It’s just copying and renaming a few files, removing a few lines from a text file, finding a file and pasting it’s path in it. It never hurts to learn more!

Coming soon…total water tower freedom! Again!

New update to Consistent Colorado is out! Mostly to fix issues with the new update (no water tower freedom yet!)

While you all mess around with that new pipe, I’ll be here oiling up a broken tractor.

How’s that repair coming along 47?

“47, the oil doesn’t go into the tyre…”

So, I’ve been trying to get it to work using this https://www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/1sv0w4k/comment/orwax70/ and followed pretty much everything it says. Only difference was the drive name being Z, since the deck doesn’t have one so just started with /home (which should be fine). However, when enabling the mod it was unsuccessful and got this error:

Based on your instructions, which seem a little different, I’ve already done the last deploy but need to remove the scripts from the manifest. I have no idea what the manifest is nor those chunks. Could you help me find them and I can see if that resolves the problem?

What a hassle! Maybe one day I will get it working!

What happened here to this ruddy grey tractor?

Tried again with Freelancer Variations on Steam Deck. Deleted some lines from the manifest, and now it won’t even deploy. Sick of getting this damn mod to work on Linux.
