Has anyone been able to replace the audio? I tried to replace the track from Paris (chunk1) that plays on the podium. I adjusted it in length and converted it back to WEM.
When starting the level, I expected three possible outcomes
My track will play on the podium
There will be no sound
The game will crash
None of the options were confirmed. The original track was still playing on the podium, although it was not in the container. What have I done wrong?
This is what i did
Unpacked chunk1
Converted WWEM to OGG
Just in case, I adjusted my track to the length of the original
The resulting WAV file was converted to WEM via WWISE
Replaced the original file and packed the container
The podium song in chunk1 is the full length one that plays on radios and similar stuff (like in the karaoke area in Chongqing, and probably the massive TV in Santa Fortuna).
The actual podium track from Paris is cut in 30 or so different parts and I believe they are all located in chunk27.
Thanks for the tip! I can roughly imagine how it looks. I tried to replace a track from Berlin, but it also has 23 parts (3 main tracks + transitions). It will be difficult
Apparently, such tracks are mixed inside the engine (or in Wwise). It was the same with the track âThe Class - Are We Starsâ. Guitar track, bass guitar, drums, etc.
Iâm surprised no one tried in Hitman 2 to make mods of changing suit colors and shit like that. Is that too hard to do? Would be cool to see the trinity pack in a lot of colors and things like that
I also added back Ghost Mode to the menu but donât expect anything playable from it.
Contracts Mode menu is still locked as expected and even if I manage to make the menu interactable in Offline Mode, it will be pointless since the mode is inherently for Online Mode.
Though I still think itâs worth investigating to see what happens if the menu is interactable in Offline Mode and see if Contract Creation is still functional. Just for curiosity.
The menus are probably going to be empty but I have noticed there were lots of custom contracts stored locally in HITMAN 2 so I might check over there when I have time.
EDIT: As expected, itâs full of empty menus and Kevin_Rudd is right that Contract Creation doesnât work because itâs not even an option that you can select.
Sniper Assassin Mode menu is just empty. It probably only calls the menu if the game is in Online Mode.
True, but since there were a few of them (being that painting suits with any colors would be a great cool thing to have) i thought it was hard or something
That said, i hope a mod comes out for Trinity suits with different colors or something. If i knew how to modâŚ
Creation the game mode didnât work offline in H2, so I donât see why it would in H3. Iâd tried to use it to find out Patient Zero people names when I first got into H2 Modding
Texture recolors is modding 101. Itâs just that most mod makers didnât find a need to change the colors of his (already perfect ) suits.
Whatâs interesting is that materials (The file that makes up the properties of what goes on a model) DO have some sort of RGB value assigned to them, but changing them in GlacierPRIMIO and loading up HITMAN2 crashes the game.
An on the fly Cheat Engine table would be ideal IMO, but since nothing in game changes that value, I wouldnât know how to find it.
Just as an example, those black gloves 47 wears with his suit? The textures are actually white. Hair is also only black and white alpha textures, and the color is determined by the current disguise (All hair has the same exact material, so where it gets its color info exactly, I dunno).
If the texture format hasnât changed, I THINK itâs still possible to use the old method of texture modding? (Manually search and convert with Noesis, edit, then place new texture info after header in the original file)
Yes, I unlocked the Career menu in Offline Mode too.
Nothing works, itâs either empty menus or the highlighted button stops being highlighted.
I can borrow Elusive Targets buttonâs block of code from the H2 version of the menu script and add it here which also brings up an empty menu though.
Speaking of which, I can add more selectable buttons to the Game Modes menu too that causes the game to load infinitely when selected since I only made up the code of these menu buttons that leads to nowhere.
I like to point out that the Featured Menu also has its own online version (notice how the game wants me to sign up an IOI account instead of an option to connect to the servers).
Stuff like Escalations wonât appear so I replaced their spots with a button that would enable VR.
No, it also does nothing other than refreshing the dashboard.
So to summarise what I investigated, you can unlock the online version of menus in Offline Mode and even customise them but itâs going to take more than that to make the submenus functionable.
Does anyone know in what .rpkg the UI stuff is stored? I want to remove hit markers, but I canât figure out how. Thereâs a mod for Hitman 2 but Iâm not sure how to go about making it work for 3.
