HITMAN 3 VR: Reloaded (Meta Quest 3 Exclusive) - Sept. 5th 2024

Oddly enough, the new map “Ambrose Island” is not shown on the map in the H3 trailer.

Maybe it’ll be a future DLC.

Hopefully they do some sort of “greatest hits” DLC from the prior games too. Paris, Sapienza, Hokkaido, Miami, New York would make an awesome combo (though maybe from a business standpoint it makes sense to pair each with a filler map)

Thanks to the amazing power of the Meta Quest™ you can relive your favorite Hitman 3 maps as if they were made in 2000, and released as DLC for Hitman: Codename 47.

Hey @MrOchoa looks like we have a new development in that C47 Remaster you wanted – now in VR! :joy:

Story-wise it would make more sense to include Paris (start of the story, but not much happens during the mission), Hokkaido (H1 conclusion, confronting Soders), Hawke’s Bay (H2 start of the story), Whittleton Creek (confronting Janus) and Isle of Sgail (H2 conclusion, kidnapping Constant). All the other missions, imho, have goals/objectives that are not important to the plot. I’d say Colorado and Mumbai are also somewhat more important to the plot than the other missions. All the other missions can easily be explained as “47 killed those guys”. After thinking about it, it made me appreciate the H3 missions more, because each one is story-driven.

That’s true. I think it depends on how much you value the overarching story – I was never invested in it and felt that it ultimately weakened certain levels of the game (probably the worst offense was collecting clues on Whittleton Creek).

The storytelling and atmosphere within maps was top-notch though.

Definitely looks interesting overall!
I hope that this time both hands are working for a better and smoother handling :+1:

I can’t be the only person who’s getting p**sed that I’ve paid for a game and there is a consistent and startling lack of info on when I can actually get to play it? I’m getting bored of checking back every week to just find silence from the devs!

Personally I wish there was more information available but it hasn’t really bothered me. But I’m also used to being very patient when it comes to waiting for stuff so idk if that’s the same case for the majority of others.

I’m a little confused by your comment, personally. What can’t you play that you paid for?

I mean… you pre-ordered the game not even knowing when the release date was. Yeah they’ve only got about a month left in Summer, but still.
I feel like that’s on you for this frustration. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

:pensive:

I just hope they use this time to fix any bugs and complete any polishing that needs to be done. As long as it gets released in good condition I’ll be happy even if it’s regrettably delayed a bit.

From the trailer it became clear that the game is far from being finished, because not a single frame from Mendoza was shown. If the lack of shots from Carpathians is quite understandable (just showing this mission is already a kind of spoiler), the absence of Mendoza is alarming. And it wasn’t decision not to show graphics or mission – there’s screenshots of it. My guess is that it still runs poorly on Quest for some reason and they figuring that out right now.

Btw, here’s the screenshots if somebody haven’t seen them. Featuring Mendoza that was absent from the trailer. You can find them in IOI’s blogpost

Wow, like I know that the headset probably isn’t as powerful as the big consoles/modern PCs, but going from the main version of the game, which looks amazing graphically, to screenshots of the VR version, looks…rough…to say the least

I used to slag off cel-shaded games for VR because they looked rubbish, but they always seem far better in the headset. Whilst I’m not blown away by the visuals, I’m still going to wait and see how they fare in the actual game.

Hopefully we hear something soon about the game. With the date only just shifting, perhaps they’ll even say something today or tomorrow.

The first Dubai screenshot didn’t worked for me. Not the best aesthetic to transform. And showcasing the on-purpose in-universe bland staff corridors for the inaugural VR mode teaser was a strange choice.

Cel-shaded Mendoza looks very stylish, I think.
