Agreed, but they can keep the Special Assignments. Just make them more engaging.
I hope for Russia (moscow/sebiria) one and one Korea or south africa
Not really seeing any similarities between Chongqing and Khandanyang except both are in Asia.
and of course i will not reject Hong Kong map like was in the annoucment trailer😌
I think the fact that it is under so much surveillance and that Hush is from Khandanyang is the reason behind that thinking. I don’t think it was ever meant to be Khandanyang, I think it was originally going to be Hong Kong and then the political controversies there made them reconsider, but I can understand how it might seem that way.
I couldn’t agree more with this! ![]()
I’m thinking the shooting range is part of the rumoured 47 hideout and the attached photo is in fact one of the new missions. The trailer implies that the shooting range is located inside this location, but I for one don’t believe it is and it’s just the way the trailer is constructed ![]()
We’ll it’s new missions and new stories, so I’m thinking we’ll be getting a few maps so that the new stories can be told across them? It’s a bit difficult to say really? I’m hoping we get 3 but I’ll be happy regardless ![]()

I’m ready for those USA locations
Executive Producer of Hitman III Forrest Swartout Large said the location map most often discussed that had not been implemented was an airport.
speaking of locations, I’d appreciate a Russia map. the closest we got to that in H3 was the fact that they were riding a Russian train in Romania.
it would be funny if they did like, Rhode Island or something. so quiet and low-key
actually hey, what’s the name of Rhode Island’s capital again…?
I remember reading on Twitter from someone at IO (was it Mette?) that they looked at an airport location but they couldn’t make it work or something - so I doubt we’ll see it in 2022.
Edit: Ah yes, it was Mette. @Luiluix posted this earlier in the thread:
Since we had so many nice and clean places in the trilogy how about a run-down motel in the Midwest?
It could be about 47 being lured into a trap by a team of armed mercenaries hired by vengeful Providence/ ICA members. Kinda like Apex Predator except this time they get the drop on 47 and he barely escaped from the ambush and now is at a disadvantage.
The default starting location could be in a cornfield next to the motel, with some of the killers searching the area. Giving the player a feeling of being hunted. Maybe also add a farm house where 47 can obtain a few melee weapons and set up accident kills. The targets would be three leaders of the killer commando: One at the motel, one at the farm and one in the fields.
Unless they somehow manage to screw up this amazing concept, I would love to play such a mission.
That sounds like the setting of a Children of the Corn movie. As a fan, I like the idea
Well… it sounds from Mette like they were pretty far along in the concept of the airport location. One thing is for sure, we aren’t going to get Patient zero #2 campaign. I just don’t think a pandemic involving an infectious virus is a thing that IOI will do again. Who would believe such a thing? It was a bit too much of an unbelievable scenario.
I hope that if we do get a safe house it doesn’t just have 47s weapons in a cool room, but that there is also another room for his outfits too. I bet his closet is SO organised.
Hell, I’d also like a room where 47 stores files on every one of his contracts. Yeah, I know he erased them from the ICA database, but that facility was only data storage; there’s no indication that it was erased from every database or storage device ICA ever had, and you know Diana had files stored away for her own records about their work. I’d like to be able to pull up the records and look through at least a superficial file on each target in the franchise; at least the ones that were ICA sanctioned hits, although I’m sure he and/or Diana probably made their own for unofficial targets.
I actually can’t imagine him keeping records
But for video game purposes your idea is pretty good!!!
F-CK YEAH GUYS!! F.-.C.K YEAH!! ![]()

That’s great to hear that IOI will keep taking care of his baby, even after a year of content that divided the fans for legitimate reasons.
IOI changing their minds and willing to make new content, levels and storylines is a great and wise idea. But that shouldn’t be a surprise as we were used to have that kind of content in HITMAN 2.
People will tell “IOI promised nothing but what they delivered” which is true. But since it’s the latest (and final) installment of this trilogy people expected it to be the best of them all, with lots of contents and features to surpass them all.
→ About the “Elusive Target Arcade” mode:
This new “Elusive Target Arcade” mode sounds promising.
However we should treat those informations lightly as we don’t really know yet how it will be in the end.
People have been requesting replayable Elusives since YEARS.
But that “arcade” word can mean lots of different things…
-
Will it be a standard mode, like Special Assignments where you can replay Elusives as you wish or something else?
-
Will there be ALL Elusive targets or just a selected sample?
-
Can we replay the Elusives as we wish or will it be a special mode with challenges and target rotations?
-
Will we be able to get a ranking/score in the end?
-
Will we be able to save/load during those missions?
So much questions unanswered, that’s why i think we should all keep our hype low to avoid a huge disappointment. Wait & See…
→ About the Mansion level:
This mansion level shown in the video sounds promising. As others i’ve seen some details that suggest it could be some sort of hideout for 47, which is another feature so much requested by fans since years. And that would be wonderful to have!
Imagine something like the Tomb Raider mansion where you can rest, train and explore independently of the other levels, some place especially dedicated to 47 where he can do his own stuff and check files without any exterior influence…
Also, why not add a feature like in Dartmoor Benchmark Mode where you can spawn enemies randomly in the level for training and skill purposes, as the image of the amazing Hitman: Contracts hideout level.
Speaking about timeline-wise, i think that it shouldn’t be a level marked in the past or future but remain something intemporal, like something serving as a training/tutorial level, not linked to any date/time, level or storyline. Just a hideout with different features and a place where 47 (and eventually Diana) will come to rest and prepare for any mission ![]()
Looking forward to new informations about this level of course, as it was highly requested by fans a long time ago and almost everybody is waiting to see how it will be made ![]()
→ About HITMAN VR coming to PC:
This is such a fantastic feature that totally have its place in HITMAN universe! Looking forward to try this amazing and different way of playing within the game!
Thank you for delivering this to the PC players. I’m sure there will be a lot of people willing to try it ![]()
→ About HITMAN 3 in general:
Giving new content is great but in my opinion it shouldn’t be requested that hard by fans but being a normal and logic approach from the devs, as they delivered so much things in the past with HITMAN and HITMAN 2.
It should be normal that at each sequel, things get bigger and better instead of being lowered. The devs have put such a high standard in their HITMAN trilogy that delivering something less better than the two previous games will be nothing but a huge disappointment. Look at what happened to the Remastered GTA Trilogy for example, a disaster that doesn’t even reach the level of games made more than a decade ago!
Sadly even if things are getting better, there is still a lot of work to do to make the ensemble better than the previous ones, as the HUGE backlog of HITMAN 2 remains and there is still a lot of fixes and tweaks to perfect this final installment of the HITMAN trilogy: map problems, texture problems, CONNECTION problems, …so much things to care about.
→ Most Important Suggestions for this final chapter (in my opinion):
Here is a list of things that should be done to make this final experience complete and achieved in my opinion:
- FULL OFFLINE MODE
:
Still a major issue on this singleplayer game. It’s been proven that making it online doesn’t stop the cheaters and hackers from doing what they want. At this point it only penalizes the customer who just wants a full offline experience and being to play the game fully as he wishes, without being forced to be constantly connected to the internet. Scoring, unlocks, and so much other things that should be enabled offline, with the possibility to connect if we want to of course.
- New Elusive Targets in missing levels:
Like Mumbai, New York and Haven Island, to make the whole thing consistent and complete. Or else, it’s like having a hole in your jeans that will remain forever no matter how great the rest will be, it will remain as an unfinished job (like the HITMAN 2 still cinematics) that will last for the years to come.
- Windows 7 compatibility:
Why asking such a request since this is outdated OS with security issues? It’s simple. Because the two previous games were compatible with that OS, and not keeping that consistence will put those players in a situation where they won’t be able to play that latest installment of the franchise.
Enabling that compatibility at least for an offline mode would be the minimal and so those people will be able to buy and play the game.
- Overall consistency and quality for all levels:
Mastery, bloom/lightning, textures and quality of maps, … so much things that differ from one level to another (even 47’s face!) that is ruining the ensemble. Adjusting all of those things for the whole pack will make the general view consistent and avoid huge difference of quality between legacy and new levels ![]()
- MOST BUGS FIXED (BACKLOGS!):
Probably the most important thing to care about!
Since HITMAN (2016) there is a huge list of bugs and glitches constantly growing and it’s remaining on HITMAN 3. There is almost nothing to say about the story, visuals and map design (which is outstanding work) but still, gameplay-wise it breaks lots of things and all those issues should be addressed in priority to creating more content which could bring more issues in the end.
→ Conclusion:
This year 2 is the opportunity for the studio to do what is right by polishing the whole content and bringing the best and final gaming experience of the trilogy.
That latest episode is the last and will remain the one where all players will come and play for the upcoming years. Giving something less better than the two previous games won’t make any sense and will penalize all the gaming base if things aren’t done right.
Let’s remember for example how they removed a simple and harmless feature like “Shoulder Swap” which could’ve been a disaster if not brought back. And i’m not counting the other elements removed like “Electric OP Phone” for some questionable reasons.
I think that it shouldn’t be about removing content and having less but more about improving the existing content and adding another layer of greatness after it.
They have the talent, money and possibility to make things done like needed. It’s all on their hands now and it will determine the future of the franchise, but also of their studio who is actually making the new Bond videogame.
Let’s make this third and last episode the best of them all so players will have the best experience possible to play with for the years to come, awaiting the next HITMAN game that will come in an unknown future.
I’m not here to be negative or spit on developers who have shown what they are capable of: bringing something outstanding and with no competition elsewhere.
I’m just a huge and dedicated fan of the franchise who is caring about one of my favourite franchises and is worried of it not being treated with the quality it deserves, compared to the games released decades ago with more content and quality with less resources (human and financial).
HITMAN 3 deserves much better than a pack of escalations and reskins, no matter the quality of the content. Much more. And they are capable of bringing it as shown in this “Year 2” video.
I wish nothing but the best for HITMAN 3. And i hope that Hakan and his talented team will be able to surpass the different challenges and pressures they have to deliver something greater and deserved after all those years of work: the third and ultimate HITMAN gaming experience for the years to come.
Thanks for reading me and for listening to the community that have been supporting you for years, at good and bad times. Cheers ![]()
This will never happens officially because of DirectX 12 and IOI added some new Win32 calls
only available since Windows 10+ starting from v3.40.0.
However some guys made a custom tooling with a modified exe and using DXVK’s: dxgi.dll and vk3d-proton’s: dx12.dll. Very experimental, it’s the same technique used for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to run the game on Windows 7. Can’t link that ofc.
Hitman 3 is a modern game, Windows 7 is too outdated to handle it.
This is very close to what happened in Absolution, Attack of the Saints.
Edit: It’s got everything but the
nuns. ![]()
I still like my idea of using the Flamingo Hotel from Miami where a rooftop party is taking place (at night). But, being from H2 and not having any interior mapping - one can only dream.
