Remember for Hitman 2: After the whole post-launch contents for Hitman 1 (bonus missions, PZ campaign, Pro mode, several escalations, ET missions…), we could reasonably expect the same with Hitman 2.
At the beginning, the plan was ET on every H2 maps, Ghost mode on Mumbai (and after the rest, inlcuding legacy maps). At the end, the number of H2-related ET was lower (7 at all, with 2x Undying), less escalations, Ghost mode was removed with a laconic explanation, no ET in Mumbai… The Special Assignment missions were badly advertised, leaving most of us thinking they were bonus missions like AHBoS or Landslide, but they turned out to be glorified ET.
During the streams, although they answered some questions, they dodged others, leaving some points unanswered. They even appeared somehow infuriated when they looked at some questions.
Overall, I find the post-launch contents of Hitman 2 very good (with two new maps and bunches of contents). But the communication was disappointed. I don’t blame Travis or Clemens. They are at the battlefront with the community and they had to twist their talks regarding the likely internal changes during H2 post-launch development.
I think IOI has learnt from its previous experiences. For Hitman 3, they don’t promise much things after launch. They said that no new maps are planned or something else. This way, we don’t expect too much.
I also find that they improved their communications. They explained before a stream why they leave some questions unanswered. They also asked gently to avoid leaks on YouTube and explained their positions about them.
I personally don’t know if the Year 2 was already planned during H3 production, or if it results from the very good sales of H3, providing substantial money for new maps?
They did an error at the release of H3, promising changes with ET missions, but these changes were eventually not made. Beside that, they prefered calm down our expectations very quickly. 7DS appears to be a kind of (paid) bonus. Something I appreciated, they explained why they sell paid stuff (Agree or not, it’s still better to get IOI’s view on it).
At the end of the first H3 year, I’m not desillusioned as I didn’t expect much things. But we obtained something “new” every week (at least ET, FC or something else).
A posteriori, 7DS looks like a good appetizer before the main course. Moreover, the changes related to ET missions would apparently turn to be true.

I wonder how many new maps we’re getting. Like others have said, making a map takes a looooot of time. They are probably working on multiple maps at the same time, but still.
Technically the safe house and one new mission would already be two maps and thus fulfil the “new maps” part. Personally, I hope we’re getting three maps tied together by a neat little story, but I wouldn’t be upset if it’s only two. Or maybe two new maps and a few old maps to create a new campaign.
Size-wise I don’t expect anything big. Probably closer to New York or the Maldives than Mumbai.

Speaking of them, I wouldn’t mind a Contract on Betsy’s Head. Her Dialogue would probably be similar to Rangan, only that she would probably try to bribe 47, while insulting him at the same time.

I agree but on a different note I thought of the earnings made by 47. On every assignmdnt he gets paid well. Also it seems ICA pays for the weapons, travel and hotels. Maybe he bought this expensive villa which is normal on the ground floor but has guns and training room on the basement like Chongqing. Maybe I am just guessing.
Or it could be the IOI Interactive office in Copenhagen. They have awesome office like this, I saw in internet.
Only time can tell, very much excited to play the new map on release day

My Hitman 3 dvd hasn’t come out from my PS4 for more than 7 months. I am using the Hitman 3 dvd case to store another famous game as I got a broken case with that last year. Good that the case will be useful for another year lol.
Am I the only one doing this ?

My guess is that it’s either just a safe house for him to stop by for equipment, a brief rest, or to lay low after a particularly high-profile mission; or he bought it after Providence fell, since his conversation with Diana at the end implies that he stepped away from contract killing in that time, so he had no reason to stay on the move and be traveling all the time. Providence is gone, it’s members sidelined into silence by Diana, and anyone left from ICA is probably too busy laying low and looking over their shoulders to bother him. He may actually continue using this house in the future even as he resumed work, assuming it’s his.

Hitman 2016 was the best in side missions, high level like the main missions almost sometimes better (bangkok night) (Landside and world of tommorow same rank for me)
That’s fine with me and it’s better than the horrible thought that just popped into my head: what if some or all of them are sniper missions? @Clemens_IOI They aren’t sniper missions, are they?
I always assumed 47 got paid in outlandish outfits because one of the only two things he enjoys is dress up/role play (the other being gardening).
My Xbox has almost exclusively played Hitman III since January. I’ve been contemplating putting something else in recently but it looks like that’s not happening anymore.

im guessing two new maps (not including the safehouse).
and i really hope one of the new maps will be in Khandanyang. they built up that location so much since 2016, only for Chongqing to essentially be the Khandanyang map (lore-wise).
