Some really dislike the mode, so they even glad I think that it has been removed.
But man, it was a great thing that kept personally me in the game every day.
Without this mode after everything is done it’s nothing to do in the game.
Doing (similar) contracts every time sometimes getting extremely boring.
But Ghost Mode never be the same and that’s why it’s perfect to keep players busy

Ghost mode might have done better if there had been more dedication to opening it up to all the levels available. They managed two and then stopped there. And yeah, they were busy getting ready for H3 and stabilizing the company that was now on its own for the first time, but maybe GM shouldn’t have been released yet if that were the case, saved for H3 so that every level across the trilogy could be utilized.

Personally, I was glad that Ghost Mode was removed only insofar as there were challenges with unlocks tied to it that were unattainable for me. The mode itself I could ignore but the completionist in me wanted that suit (which I never did get until Hitman 3 provided a different way to unlock it). If the mode were put back without unlocks, I’d be fine to continue to ignore it forever and let everyone else have their fun.

People would ragequit against me in Ghost mode so often I got the unlocks with ease.

I have an explanation why there was an unlock there.
But before I want to stress that this unlock appeared after some time, not at the start, and it was only one single unlock, not 2 thousand different unlocks. And, well, frankly, just another reskinned suit, not unique.
As far as I remember that challenge was never counted towards 100% of the game completion. So those who disliked the mode could have easily ignore it.
The reason why they added one single unlock is to rise a popularity of the mode and motivate players to try to play this mode

I didn’t even start playing H2 until around the time that the Undying Returns was released so it could have been always there for me personally.
Regardless, if they put that mode back in some capacity for Year 2, i wouldn’t object to it. I just wouldn’t play it.
Also, all suits with ties are reskins… it’s a suit…with a tie…
Yup. The Phantom Suit unlock was added in the April 2019 patch

My point here is they could have added some unique unlock.
As it was a Ghost Mode, let’s say that suit from The Autor mission (The Superfan outfit)
