Witcher 3 was also a mess on launch albeit fixed later. Previous S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games several times were bugged mess on release - especially Clear Sky which was in unplayable state after disk release and players in Russia and CIS waited for patches for a week.
Really?, While a fair bit downscaled from Hitman 2. Never saw the trailers and previews as rushed.
There’s always a little bit of COPIUM when loving the Hitman Franchise
@TheChicken Honestly, it’s more like
Basically Epic are very weird, and they have two achievement systems. The one with 83 achievements was the old beta one, but now they have a new one that has a bunch of rules associated and with XP levels, so they limit the number of achievements a game can actually have.
So… that kind of spoils the fun.
Buy the game twice, -check-
Want to 100% the trilogy on Steam since you already did that in Hitman 1 and 2, -check-
Booting up the game and seeing this, -sad check-
And I can’t even claim to have 100% it on Epic either, since I failed the Twin ET back then. Oh well.
EDIT: I come to realise that converting my progress to Hitman 3 on Epic at launch last year, and then back to Steam today would have solved that issue. BUT, not knowing if converting your progress from Steam → Epic would rule out transfering your progress from Steam → Steam, and the fear of losing the save to the other launcher, I, like a few other forum members, waited it out until today.
Well… If we had known…!
Slapping a #2 on an ET that’s seemingly identical to its predecessor in order to make it playable again feels … sloppy (?)
I would’ve preferred they simply reset or reactivated them when needed. This gives the impression that wasn’t possible. Maybe it’s the most practical solution to a problem we don’t even know about, similar to how we ended up with all those MKII items.
I’m interested in how IOI is going to address this, if at all. Do those ETs come with their own separate challenges or do they simply point to the original ones?
I know it’s wishful thinking but I hope it’s just a placeholder or gone in a day or two.
Carrying over your progress from Epic to Steam isn’t possible. Currently, no Steam user is able to fully 100% H3, so don’t lose any sleep over it
So getting the game on Steam and booting it up will give me this, even if I did complete those ETs on Epic? Well that´s just fucking disappointing to say the least…
I suspect there will be “new” challenges for these #2 ETs. Of course, there will be nothing new about them in terms of content. They will be identical to last year’s ETs, but you will need to complete them again to avoid having them marked as “Failed” in the menu.
Live service gaming at its finest.
Hmmmm well I suppose time is still inear so your request makes sense. How’s it look now?
I can’t find pcvr on EGS. Can someone tell me where it is?
Just go ahead and launch the game, if you’ve got a VR headset plugged in it should give you an option in the main menu to play in VR. Worked for me right out the gate, hope that works for you!
Is it me or has the camera deadzone changed since the patch? More sensitive?
On Playstation
This is expected from my side, no wonder.
Elusive Target progression is tied to a specific profile.
If that specific profile never played them, it will get this picture.
As far as HITMAN 3 has only just arrived to Steam, all Steam profiles couldn’t have played those, thus all those ETs are missed.
But missed is not failed.
So in a reactivation all Steam players will be able to play those Elusive Targets
Provided they get reactivated again (which, for the sake of Steam players, they should).
I’m a tad bit puzzled by what The Heartbreaker #2 is supposed to be though…
My guess this
I think the issue is that currently it’s actually not a rerun but it’s counted as a separate target with its own challenges and place in the game’s elusive target records.
Which is an issue for completionists. On Steam, they will have an entire row of “missed” targets they will never be able to get rid of. And completionists on Epic will now need to play all the elusive targets again if they don’t want the same thing to happen in their game.
I say this way for an old players
I don’t think this is the case. I think devs will handle this out somehow
Yeah, so, as I’m going to buy the game on Steam, I’ll need to play those all over again and again and again
Absolute madness, I know. Something will be done about it, I have almost no doubts
hmm today I will take a look at the long-awaited year 2 update
Oooh, I just read it again and saw it myself, its only possible from Hitman 2 Steam → Epic and now Hitman 2 Steam → Steam. Oh well. If we had known that earlier, I guess thanks Epic for not allowing devs to talk about future plans as if they dont exist!
A really bad taste in my mouth aswell, I really, really wanted to 100% Hitman 3 on steam.
Thats a logical conclusion, as it was the case in Hitman 1 and 2 aswell, but the #2 on the ET gives the impression they wont or cant.
