Hitman Discmasters Research

Some of you may already know of the site called DiscMasters, but for those who do not, it is essentially an archive of old internet content, namely files and plenty of really old stuff from the BBS days, however, there are some classic Hitman remnants you can dig up, and with more eyes on it, the more that could potentially be found.

A few tips for making searches a bit easier:

Enable deep search in addition to filename, as it will dig deeper into the data to find your search inquiry.

“Family” can help you easily filter through the type of data (images, text, etc).

Toggle omit duplicates as many times the same stuff will appear in multiple sources.

In the date boxes, it is best to try and enter the timeframe the game was in development for, and end right before release if you’re looking for pre-release data.

Increase limit x per page to more than 100 to have more appear one page at a time.

You can also search for specific file extensions. PCX, PNG, and JPG are usually good places to start.

Here’s some of the stuff I’ve found so far on my own. Some of this may have been seen by others already, but you get the idea of how to search and what you can find there:

Agent 47 in a Clone 47 jumpsuit

Either palette error in image or 47 had a black tie

Pre barcode

47 wore same underwear in Le Chiffre ET

Pretty sure these guys looked different in final game

All this was found by searching Hitman with the years 1999-2002. There’s quite a lot more to find and more eyes could find stuff I’d never think to look for.

Please pardon formatting, I’m on mobile.
