I have not played the first three games in the series (Codename 47, Silent Assassin, Contracts). Unless it’s something I happen to know about from those games, I’m probably not going to respond to them.
A lot of people feel that Hitman 2 had the worst cutscenes out of the World of Assassination (WoA) trilogy, or even the entire series, mainly because they were not as elaborate or detailed as those of other games. However, it is my opinion that the Hitman 2 cutscenes were some of, if not the best cutscenes in WoA, or even the entire series.
47’s whole personality is more muted, monotone, and suppressed than that of every single other character in the game, and as such he should not have flashy and fast-paced cutscenes. Having a still/moving image with his monotone voice played over is probably the best way to show how different he is from others, and is in my opinion one of the best ways to present his character. It gives him a form of subtle menace and power, showing how he is different form the other characters, uncaring, unfeeling.
To summarize it briefly; Hitman 2 had good cutscenes because they showed 47 as not being expressive.
All legacy content should be included in Hitman World of Assassination. The challenges which were cut from the 2016/2 maps and the 38 cut escalations from 2016’ maps. Even things considered bad should be brought back and improved rather then remain cut from the game. For instance, condensing escalations from 5 levels to 3.
They encouraged more level exploration, gave certain disguises/areas more use, and promoted alternate playstyles. The dev work was already completed by past IO, and if fans are able to restore the content, then current IO can too. Bringing back stuff that was missing in the trilogy for 4-8 years is a better way of supporting the game than roadmaps using the same recycled ETs for weekly content. These things are part of the trilogy’s past, and should be better preserved since their games have been delisted and WoA is meant to be the definitive version of the trilogy.
And for a joke reason, bringing back legacy stuff would add more value to the Part One Edition!
That was small for me, you should see how much I wrote before posting! But just for you I managed to reduce it by 267 characters while still preserving my points best I can
Hitman C47 and H2SA are the only Hitman games with solid stories. After that, they became mainly incoherent.
I also think that the most of the suit unlocks are dull. IDGAF if this suit has gloves with it. The suit-suits are so similar that I couldn’t care less about 95% of them.
