I don’t get the hate for Absolution tbh. Its certainly better than Blackwater Park. I would argue it’s one of the best missions from the entire game. It has some very cool and classic assassination opportunities for Jade. The praetorians give you a final chance to go guns blazing. And the overal aesthetic of the level is really calming and quite light hearted. On top of that, the setting is pretty interesting, with the whole Burnwood family graves and stuff.

fair enough. i’m kind of maybe writing something about mumbai, so it’s useful to know people’s criticisms.
overwhelming, sure. it’s interesting to compare the number of routes presented to the player at the start to other levels. like, paris has 3 sign-posted ways to go at the start, but there’s 7 or so in mumbai (more if you count the multiple entrances to the challs) once you get onto the main street. i think that’s somewhat intentional given the challenge it’s meant to represent.
overrated doesn’t mean anything (sorry), but not sure what you mean by repetitive?

Feels like I’m walking through the same alley every turn I take and most of it is just getting lost countless times while running from one end of town to the other. That’s whats repetitive imo.
The only things I praise is Vanya’s train wagons and Dawood’s tower. The rest is just filler to me.

ah, okay. i’ve played through the slums a million times and i still get lost. they seem to actively resist me learning them properly 
again, goes with the whole labyrinthine city deal. i wonder if that’s intentional?
