Hitman Mission Championship - The Golden Finale 👑

I knew I should have went for the finish line when I had the chance… That mission blinded you from the true mission Franz

Lies. I let it distract me only once when the lives of the elders were still at stake.

Now that they are gone, The Finish Line is the only one that comes close to their glory.

No, you should´ve gone for Apex Predator. The fact that that mission is in the top 3 is a testament to how blinded the community is and gets easily drunk by good map design, even if the mission itself is mediocre and nowhere near the crème de la crème of the series!

You are a true monster devouring all of the good missions thus your actions needed to be equalized.

If I could, I would have went after all WoA missions after the elimination of TotT!

“If I had 50 of MrOchoa in the Hitman Mission Championship - The Golden Finale :crown:, we would still have TotT.”

Your integrity is admirable. Still, you should´ve started with those you haven´t even played

Same can be said about those that eliminated the older missions without even playing them :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m sure they’re out there, watching from the shadows at this war of ours

it’s not the best, certainly, but i don’t think it’s mediocre simply by virtue of there being nothing else like it.

in narrative terms, it is a set-piece where we’re reminded just how insanely good 47 is; gameplay-wise, if we consider it’s place in the whole trilogy, it feels like a freeform flex of the player’s hitman-ing abilities up until that point. i have a lot of time for it, though i wouldn’t place it in the top three.

Which is why you should´ve acted the same

Nah, I´m just being overtly dramatic of course. It´s a cool mission and I like the Bournesque badassery of it (even though the targets are a lot lamer than I´d like), I just don´t like when a Hitman mission is throwing the story so much into my face and doesn´t function as an “independent contract”. But I do think people are just too drunk by the whole “pick 5 out of 10 targets” concept, it being so recent and “innovative/refreshing”, despite the targets themselves being easily the worst in the entire trilogy/campaign. And top 3 it is not either way (for me at least).

But this thread is called “Mission Championship”.

I guess we need a “Map Championship” after this.

Personal comparison:

World of Tomorrow
(-) Targets remain in a small corner of the map. Fransesca’s basic route is a straight line between her desk and the terrace, Silvio’s is a small triangle between his garden, dining room and the planet room.
(+) Interesting ways to manipulate these routes: telescope, chef, mother’s ghost, psychiatrist, detective, golf instructor, DNA sample
(+) Beautiful and lively map but
(-) most of it is not used
(-) Non-target static virus objective
(-) Not a mission of the original trilogy
(-) Hichkas wants it to win

The Finish Line
(+) Interesting basic target routes. Robert Knox’s pedometer is through the roof, While Sierra’s racing is a limited loop, it offers unique and memorable kills and the race in itself provides many ways to interact with. Sierra’s route post-race also interesting.
(+) Both targets, and especially Robert, have extremely interesting ways to interact with, some of them leading to dramatic situation where father’s and daughter’s deaths collide.
(+) Beautiful and lively map that is used to its full extent
(-) Not a mission of the Original Trilogy but
(+) Feels the most true to it in spirit.

Apex Predator
(-) Boring basic target routes and
(-) very little ways to manipulate those routes. They mlight as well be user-contract targets of random NPCs
(+) Beautiful and lively map and
(+) the gas station offers a mysterious and scary contrast to the party but
(-) is underutilised, like much of the rest of the map
(-) Not a mission of the original trilogy
(-) Is an H3 mission and thus was partially responsible for "End of an Era"s untimely destruction
(-) Seems to be favored by many who enjoyed downvoting Original Trilogy missions.

My choice is pretty easy really.

Alright, Finish Line shall win. Not that I’m particularly fond of it, but Apex Predator has those extreme lame, generic Targets and I’m just tired of Sapienza.

Also fuck @Hichkas, there’s no way we’ll let him get away with this bullshit

given the woa maps are designed to also accommodate elusive targets, escalations, bonus missions and contracts at conception, i’m not sure i would personally consider this a fault.

To be honest, I don’t REALLY care at this point. My fav was Situs Inversus which is gone thanks to @djsojus, and a win for either of the two except Berlin can make me happy. You’re not taking vengeance if you’re letting Berlin die.

I didn’t eliminate Situs Inversus alone
You’re right, I did downvote it a few times. But it’s just a bad mission in my opinion. I could live with a win for World of Tomorrow or The Finish Line. Didn’t really enjoy Apex Predator.
