Hitman multiplayer

Dear IO Interactive Team,

First of all, thank you for creating such an incredible franchise. The sandbox world of Hitman is unmatched, and I have an idea that I believe could elevate it even further by introducing a unique multiplayer experience.

I would love to propose a 10-player “Social Stealth” PvP mode set within your existing sandbox maps. Here is how the core gameplay loop would work:

The Concept: 10 players spawn on a massive sandbox map. Every player is both the hunter and the hunted. There are no UI markers showing who the other players are—everyone starts disguised as a regular NPC (civilian, guard, staff, etc.).

Social Stealth & Mimicry: To survive and find targets, players must blend in perfectly. Running, jumping, or behaving suspiciously will instantly give away that you are a player. You must mimic NPC paths and behaviors (e.g., serving drinks as a waiter, sweeping floors) to stay hidden.

The Hunt: You receive clues or a general target area for another player. Once you identify them, you must eliminate them.

Creative Eliminatons over Gunplay: Open gunfights should be highly penalized (by alerting guards or revealing your position to other players). Instead, the mode would reward classic Hitman “accident” kills—poisoning a drink, rigging a chandelier, or pushing someone off a balcony.

The Paranoia Factor: The constant tension of wondering whether the NPC walking next to you is a mindless AI or another player waiting for the perfect moment to strike would create an incredibly intense, high-stakes atmosphere.

This mode would combine the classic tension of old-school Assassin’s Creed multiplayer with the unparalleled depth, disguise system, and environmental interaction of the Hitman: World of Assassination engine.

Thank you for your time and for continuing to make such phenomenal games. I would love to hear your thoughts on this concept!

Best regards,

Nagy Keve Richárd

Personally I’m against mass pvp multiplayers in HITMAN.
You can play LineAge II for this kind of exprerience.
HITMAN is a game about not massive amount of people but it’s focused on a story of Agent 47.
They’ve introduced Ghost Mode which was a great fun and I wish it will be revived.
That’s the type of multiplayer HITMAN could handle.

But not John Wick style. It’s not the way Agent works

I prefer the idea of 2 players only max:

cooperative: players work together to take out target(s) and complete objectives.

deathmatch: players are rival assassins who must compete for completing objectives, have to take each other out, etc.

I think those two modes would be enough for Hitman. There could be a few different styles of each mode. I’m reminded of the old computer game Spy vs Spy, where you could set up traps for the other player.

I don’t remember exactly but Watch Dogs 1 had a similar concept, another hacker could infiltrate your session blending in the world. I usually hate pvp but that was really cool.
