You could still sedate him though,so not really.
I actually think that it would have been more challenging if you had to kill him.Unless you want to wait until the Spetsnaz agent gets to the safe,then you could simply sedate the ambassador when he checks the safe on his own and run to the exit without having to worry about your rival.However,having to kill the Spetsnaz agent would have made things more complicated because he might start shooting you after obtaining the briefcase,so…

You could also just avoid him bc his ambush tactic is a perfectly timed run between both options you have to get back to the boat. They could have made it so that he hangs closer to the boat and can’t be avoided.
We’re all pretty good at these games so the sedate method isn’t too hard but compared to simply shooting him ?

It probably would have made more sense if his ambush was like Agent 17’s on Hospital Island, where you’re literally incapable of getting around him, although that part of the map’s too open for that to really work.
TBH, first time I played SA, I thought he’d be in St. Petersburg Revisited and jump you by the elevators or something like that. I’ve always wished for an easter egg where 47 is being hunted in every mission by just one guy, like a human Mr X.
Hahaha. I don’t knew about the 17 style thing though. A cool part of the level is that he can force you fail either by killing you or alerting nearby guards with his gun fire. Yes, it’s easy to get by once you know it’s there but to make it 17 style on Hospital Island would make the mission easier.

Don’t look at me, I down voted him to get him off the board. Almost all of these characters have little appeal to me, Blood Money was the game where all the targets had a real sense of character even if most of them are bad stereotypes and broad caricatures.
