Because Rutgert has a cool tattoo kill,a cool “mission story” with the reporter disguise,is fun to kill suit only and the ways to infiltrate the last floor of the building are incredibly well designed.
I also like the personality traits which can be noticed through the way he behaves(like refusing to count the money and warning you that he’ll put his men to look after you if all of it isn’t there or the lack of protection around him).
Lee Hong is a cool target as well. After all,3 missions were needed to get to the part where we actually kill him, which shows what a dangerous man he is.He even carries a sword with him all the time.
However,it takes too much setup and running to kill him in the final mission through the intended method(bring the jade figurine to the herbal shop, find a waiter disguise, poison his food, find the secret passage and only then you can finally kill him in his mansion).
Yes,there are 1-2 other ways to kill him without going guns blazing, but they aren’t far better to be honest.
I agree, i always thought that was bad ass. I remember the section about him on the official (german) website, it stated that his “list of criminal records is longer than his own Arm”, and I’ve always thought thats neat wording
But overall I don’t like Rendezvous in Rotterdam, I’d preferred to have a remake of Gunrunner’s Paradise. What bugs me particular is that un Contracts, Rutgerts Gang are the ones who sell the Nuclear Warhead to Boris. Why has a Biker Club access to something like that?
In Codename 47, Boris and Ivan are selling Guns/Rifles to the Gang and Boris, the big time Gunrunner, just happens to has the Warhead aboard his Ship, and in my headcanon he’s on his way to bring it to his Brother Sergei - which would be a neat way to tie the Stories of Codename 47 and Silent Assassin together.
Boris obviously never makes it out of Rotterdam and thats why Sergei and the Mystery Man show up there on his Ship.
