A challenge or mastery prestige/reset would also be fun.
In general a way to expand the main story missions could be fun for all of us who did everything there and have no more positive feedback from the game there.
Because it’s a bit of a shame that so much work is now left behind by a bunch long time players.
We got pavloved by challenges getting checked, merces going up, and freelancer xp…
In contrast, main missions are a bit stall by now.
I wonder if that’s what they meant by working to “expand the experience for the hardcore community” during the stream.
The five things I though about were:
- Roulette gamemode
- The usual: 1 entry, 1 exit, 1 disguise and 1 method per target
- Challenge Roulette gamemode
- 1 Assassination challenge, 1 Feat challenge, and 1 Discovery challenge assigned each run
- Mastery gamemode
- Basically what TheKotti “Mastery 20” runs do. As an insular “virtual reset” game mode.
- LL Campaign in freelancer
- Main story targets. payout objectives, freelancer walls, crates, and carry capacity
- Challenge Reset
- Simple, but effective, if less novel
