Hitman wishlist

I typically don’t, but I don’t think that “casual” necessarily equates to “don’t care about stats”. Casual gamblers got to casinos all the time and are just as upset when they don’t win as professionals.

I think we need a term for players between casuals, that only play a game for a while, and speedrunners, who invest a lot of time into a game to get faster. I am not a speedrunner, but I play the game a lot. So what am I? (Yes, lets get philosophical here, people …)

Just think comparing a video game with casino isn’t properly…

Master Key (x3) - unlocks doors as if you have the key for them for quicker unlock + open

could also serve as an exit key for things like, the cars in sapienza and the icon, the bikes in berlin, the door in NY (not the CEO door, although maybe the manypass should work there), the hearse in dartmoor, speedboat in paris, etc.

I used to play the WOA trilogy religiously back in 2020-2023, and these last couple of years, I only played a handful of times. I’d say I’ve become a “casual” player nowadays. I still care about my ratings as well as the leaderboard. I fail to see your point. Every player is different.

Why? They’re both people playing games. On the one hand you win money and on the other you win points but you’re still getting the same dopamine rush when you win and the same disappointment when you lose. Heck, most of the games offered at casinos are electronic anyway (slots, video poker, and other forms of video games far outnumber the physical tables at pretty much every casino).

Plus, I can play video poker at home for purely virtual money. How is that any different than playing a different computer game or going to a casino? I think the parallels are far stronger than the differences.

Seems they were meant to be in the game one way or another so please just give us them as targets. I think the concept of the sapienza mission is a great idea but the Marrakesh mission is better i believe

Give us the brothers :speaking_head:

or even this mission.

I hope for Year 7 they give us something different in terms of DLC. Even though I like many of the missions I’m quite tired of the Celeb ET formula at this point. With two more to do in Year 6 that means next year there will be 11 Celeb ETs (counting both Undyings). So they can rerun one a month and take a month off for an ET Galore for the non-Celeb ETs.

I’d love to see side mission DLCs on the level of Patient Zero Requiem with challenges to complete and contracts mode support. It’d probably be cheaper to make since there’s no money spent on getting likeness rights. And there will still be all the Celeb ETs to cycle through again to promote FOMO in new players.

This needs updating as half these places are inaccessible in the actual mission

Replace the Elusive Target Aecade failure 30 minute cooltime to instead lockout the map of the Elusive Target Arcade mission you failed to ALL ETA missions using that same map until the main story mission for that particular map is beat via SASO.

Terrible, terrible, terrible idea. Sorry.

Hello guys,

I recently discovered HITMAN: World of Assassination and honestly fell in love with the level design, the disguises, the mission stories and especially the amount of freedom these maps give you.

While playing through the trilogy, I started thinking about locations that could work for a future HITMAN game, if there ever is one. I ended up coming up with three concepts and developing them a little further just for fun.

I already shared these ideas with the HITMAN team through Player Support, and they told me that my feedback was documented and forwarded for internal review. I thought it would also be fun to share them here and see what longtime HITMAN players think about them.

Obviously, these are just fan ideas. I’m not pretending that I know how IOI should design their game, and I’m sure professional level designers would change a lot of this. I just tried to think about locations that naturally create different security zones, disguises, assassination opportunities and interesting target routines.

Here are my three ideas, from #3 to #1.

#3 – Barcelona, Spain: Football Stadium

First of all: I know Miami already gives us a sports-event setting, with crowds, VIP areas, athletes, garages and the race itself. That’s probably the biggest argument against another sports location.

But I think a football stadium could still become something very different if the mission focused much more directly on the athlete himself and everything happening inside an actual stadium.

Instead of the racing environment of Miami, imagine dressing rooms, player tunnels, medical rooms, press areas, television studios, camera crews, journalists, VIP boxes, security checkpoints, executive offices, catering areas, fan sections and the pitch itself.

In that sense, I think a football stadium could almost create its own little HITMAN genre within the sports setting.

The targets: a world-famous football player and possibly his manager.

The player’s entire career and public image could have been built partly on lies, corruption or manipulation. His manager helped create the brand around him and covered up what happened behind the scenes. Eventually someone who was harmed by them hires 47.

The footballer would constantly move through different areas of the stadium: dressing room, medical examination, warm-up area, tunnel, press conference, sponsor event, fan meeting and eventually the pitch.

That alone creates many natural disguises:

  • Stadium security
  • Doctor or physiotherapist
  • Journalist
  • Cameraman
  • Catering staff
  • Maintenance worker
  • Coach or team staff
  • Mascot

One Mission Story could involve 47 replacing the team doctor. The player is called in for an examination, allowing 47 to isolate him and manipulate the results, perhaps convincing him that he has a serious medical condition that could end his career.

Another could involve becoming a journalist and getting a private interview with him.

Another could involve disguising yourself as a fan during an organized meet-and-greet, giving you access to something he drinks.

There could also be a show or promotional event on the pitch involving a football. 47 could tamper with equipment before the player arrives.

And the mascot disguise almost writes its own HITMAN comedy. You could imagine an assassination challenge called something like “Own Goal.”

The manager could operate mainly in the VIP and executive sections, meaning the two targets occupy completely different social worlds within the same building.

What I like about the idea is that the stadium itself naturally explains the security hierarchy. Thousands of ordinary spectators can access certain areas, journalists can access others, players and staff have another level of clearance, and only a handful of people can enter the most restricted VIP and executive areas.

#2 – Istanbul, Turkey: International Airport

I searched the forum a little before posting this and realized that an airport has actually been suggested by HITMAN fans for years.

So I’m definitely not claiming the basic airport idea as something new.

What I wanted to do was think about what an actual HITMAN airport mission could look like in more detail.

Welcome to Istanbul, 47.

47 arrives as an ordinary passenger carrying a suitcase. That could immediately introduce one of the central mechanics of the map: deciding what you bring through security and what equipment you smuggle into restricted areas through other methods.

The targets: the director of the airport and a pilot involved in an international smuggling operation.

Behind the normal operation of the airport, the two use passenger flights, cargo routes and corrupt employees to move illegal goods between countries.

The airport could be divided into several layers:

Public terminal: check-in desks, restaurants, shops, waiting areas and thousands of passengers.

Security zone: scanners, passport control and checkpoints where carrying weapons suddenly becomes much more complicated.

VIP section: lounges, private meeting rooms and luxury areas used by the airport director and wealthy passengers.

Staff areas: kitchens, maintenance corridors, employee rooms and security offices.

Baggage handling: conveyor belts, luggage rooms, loading areas and underground service tunnels.

Technical areas: generators, elevators, maintenance equipment and restricted infrastructure.

Airfield: service vehicles, hangars, fuel systems and aircraft.

Control tower: one of the most restricted areas of the entire map.

The disguises would be almost endless: passenger, security officer, baggage handler, mechanic, pilot, cabin crew, cleaner, catering worker, airport employee, VIP staff and potentially air-traffic-control personnel.

Security could also work differently from almost every existing HITMAN map.

Certain checkpoints could require 47 to place illegal items into a tray or pass through a scanner. Cameras would be everywhere. A normal passenger disguise might actually be one of the weakest disguises once you enter the deeper parts of the airport.

One Mission Story could involve infiltrating the pilot’s aircraft as cabin crew or maintenance staff and sabotaging something before his scheduled departure.

Another could involve manipulating an elevator used by the airport director.

The director could have a routine involving his office, security control room, VIP lounge and control tower.

There could even be a very difficult opportunity involving both targets and an aircraft-related event, although obviously IOI would have to decide how far something like that could realistically go.

What makes an airport so attractive to me isn’t simply that airports are large. It’s that they are naturally built like HITMAN maps already: public areas → controlled areas → staff-only areas → high-security areas.

Every uniform immediately means something.

And Istanbul would also give the map a completely different visual identity from previous locations.

#1 – Croatia: The Zoo

This is my personal favorite and the one I developed the most.

Welcome to Croatia, 47.

At first, the map looks almost peaceful.

Families are walking around. Children are watching animals. Food stands and gift shops are busy. Employees are feeding animals. Visitors take pictures. You have open paths, vegetation, viewing platforms and large enclosures.

But the further you move away from the public part of the zoo, the darker the map becomes.

The targets are a wealthy married couple who own and operate the zoo.

Publicly, they present themselves as conservationists and successful business owners.

Behind the scenes, however, they are involved in illegal wildlife trafficking. Animals are imported, moved through hidden facilities and eventually transported elsewhere through containers.

This creates something I really like about the concept: the map itself tells the story.

At the beginning, you’re standing in a normal zoo.

Eventually you discover what is happening behind it.

The public zoo

This would be the largest and safest part of the map.

Visitors, families, food stands, souvenir shops, toilets, restaurants and animal enclosures would create a crowded public environment.

Objects found around the map could make sense naturally. Bananas near monkeys. Apples and other food around feeding areas. Tools around maintenance sections. Sedatives and medical equipment around veterinary areas.

You wouldn’t need dozens of fully simulated animals. Some could remain behind glass or at a distance, with only selected animals being important to gameplay.

Veterinary and animal-care areas

Behind the visitor sections would be veterinary rooms, food preparation areas, storage rooms, staff corridors and treatment facilities.

This creates several useful disguises:

  • Zookeeper
  • Veterinarian
  • Animal-food worker
  • Maintenance worker
  • Security guard
  • Cleaner
  • Senior zoo employee

Certain enclosures could remain illegal areas even while disguised as a normal zookeeper, forcing the player to find higher-level access.

The aquarium

Under part of the zoo could be a smaller aquarium section.

This gives the level verticality without requiring an enormous horizontal map.

Glass tunnels, filtration rooms, staff-only corridors and underwater viewing areas would create a completely different atmosphere from the outdoor zoo.

One of the targets could occasionally visit this area as part of their routine.

The hidden container area

This is where the tone changes.

Behind the normal zoo is a heavily restricted service and logistics section that ordinary visitors never see.

Containers, trucks, loading equipment, cages, documents, security guards and storage buildings slowly reveal what the owners are actually doing.

Accessing this section could be one of the hardest parts of the map.

The public zoo is bright, crowded and almost cheerful.

The back section is industrial, quiet and heavily guarded.

That contrast is probably my favorite part of the whole concept.

The targets

The husband could spend more time around the administration building, private offices and hidden logistics operation.

The wife could maintain the public image of the zoo, walking among visitors, attending presentations and interacting with VIP guests.

This means that although they’re a couple, their routines naturally separate them.

As the mission progresses, however, certain Mission Stories could bring them together.

Assassination opportunities

A veterinary disguise could allow 47 to manipulate medication or sedatives.

Animal food could become part of certain opportunities.

Restricted enclosure controls could create environmental accidents without requiring animals to freely roam through the entire map.

One target could potentially be affected by a hallucinogenic substance, leading to a bizarre HITMAN-style Mission Story in which their altered behavior puts them in a dangerous situation.

And then there would be the big assassination opportunity.

“King of the Jungle”

In the center of the public zoo is its most famous attraction: a large lion enclosure.

Perhaps four lions are visible there throughout the mission, making the location recognizable from almost anywhere in the central area.

At a specific point, the two targets attend an important public event together above or beside the enclosure.

Maybe it’s an anniversary ceremony, a major announcement or some kind of staged romantic moment designed to reinforce their public image.

47 can secretly prepare several things beforehand.

If everything is done correctly, both targets end up falling into the restricted enclosure during the event.

I wouldn’t even show anything graphic.

47 simply turns around and begins walking toward the exit.

Mission Complete.

Behind him, guards and visitors react while the lions move toward the targets.

If the player looks back later, the game only implies what happened.

Challenge unlocked:

KING OF THE JUNGLE

Another darkly comedic challenge involving the zoo’s mascot could be called something like:

THE CIRCLE OF LIFE

That combination of a ridiculous disguise, a serious assassination and a terrible pun feels extremely HITMAN to me.

Why the Zoo is my #1

The airport probably has the most obvious gameplay potential, and I completely understand why fans have requested one for years.

The stadium could create an amazing sports environment if it was differentiated enough from Miami.

But the zoo is the one I would personally choose.

It has a very clear visual identity, a natural reason for dozens of different objects and disguises, public and restricted areas, vertical possibilities through an aquarium, and a story that can be understood without an enormous amount of exposition.

You enter and see a successful zoo.

You explore further.

You discover the container operation.

You understand why the targets are there.

And suddenly the beautiful public location has a completely different meaning.

That’s basically it. These aren’t demands or predictions, just three concepts I had fun thinking about after discovering the games.

I’d genuinely be interested to hear what longtime players think — especially whether these locations would actually work within HITMAN’s sandbox design, what you would change, and which of the three you would choose.

#3 Barcelona – Football Stadium
#2 Istanbul – International Airport
#1 Croatia – Zoo

This, I think, is a thesis statement that IOI devs need to read over carefully. Brilliant.

Other than the fact that you can’t really have children in these types of games, these are some great ideas.

My ideal Hitman game is codename 47.

There are some suits from ET’s that are not unlockable (The Herb Suit, Patient Gown, Agent 47).
I’d like to suggest for these to be unlockable via completion of ET Arcade, similarly to unlockables for completing normal ETA.

Since there are more and more items in different tabs, maybe additional tabs could be a good way to retrieve the desired items when preparing the loadout.

I would suggest:

Melee items: Split in two tabs

  • Fiber wire.
  • Other melee items. Maybe doing the distinction between nonlethal and lethal melee items?

Explosive items: several items with different outcomes are present. I would suggest to split in three tabs:

  • Explosive: remote and proximity explosive devices.
  • Flash: remote and proximity flash devives.
  • Sedative/Concussive: the items that knock out NPC (either by gas or by an “explosion”).
