Yup! Can confirm it’s like this for me too! (And has been for a while)
Huh. I dunno, I just unlocked the taser, so I didn’t think it was that… Is it because Haven Island is the very last mission of the Hitman 2 section, so completing it then puts you in the Hitman 3 section by default? Or because it’s DLC?
Anyway, I just tried playing Marrakesh, and you’re right: the Destinations tab then defaulted to the ICA Facility.
However, the game still defaults to Hitman 3 in the various menus of the Career tab.
And then IOI will be like
“Suprise! It’s a Purple Striker V2!”
Challenge: Extremely Silly
Challenge Description: Catch Minnie cheating with Goofy
Yaaay, I set up the Haven Island system meltdown triple kill to get the challenge, and as soon as I shot the water cooler, my PS4 crashed. Yaaaay
I’ve just noticed a small bug: in the “create contract” menu, Ambrose appears in the H2 tab, but is located after Haven instead of being after Whittleton.
Just a question for speedrunners:
Until recently, the Ambrose map wasn’t included in the Trilogy speedrun, notably because Ambrose was somehow “excluded” from the campaign tab.
With the new patch where Ambrose should be included in the campaign (and AI is now proposed after WC map instead of IS), does it change something to the Trilogy rules, or does it stay as it was before the patch?
I’m just curious, and I’ve read nothing about it on the speedrun website.
I got an answer from @AnthonyFuller which satisfies this on Discord; It’ll be labelled as NLP; No Longer Possible.
Ok! Thx for the reply!
Anyone having Disconnect issues after the patch besides me?
Servers seem to be down right now. Other than that, I haven’t.
It is, check https://hitmanstat.us/ in future. Epic players can use Peacock, sorry Steam and console players.
This is the second time it has gone down since the update, when historically before the update there has been very little downtime outside of a few isolated incidents and scheduled maintenance. For a game that essentially requires this, it’s pretty bad. Lets hope it gets fixed today, although it is a Sunday so who knows.
I wouldn’t count on too much action on a sunday, traditionally the slowest day for any game maintenance.
Also, this is why we have decent offline modes with scoring (Big Hint Hint) in games.
And not one tied to a goddamn VR Port that’s timed exclusively for the Meta Quest 3 of all things.
Drib, we don’t see eye to eye on unlocks and game balance, but we’re on the same page, the same sentence, the same fucking letter with this one. ![]()
For the record, I have muted the roadmap page, so whatever’s been said there is gonna be unread by myself.
And thank you, I think this is pretty easy common ground to stand on tbh.
As much as i would like to agree that offline mode offers a viable alternative, i find that a difficult argument where right now in Offline mode i can only access the Story, but can’t even see challenges yet to complete, can’t even access my career inventory or look any contract modes. So without an Online connection, this isn’t really a playable game (that’s why it states very clearly online connection required). It’s incredibly frustrating to say the least.
I think it’s mainly referring to the whole game being made available to view and play offline in its entirety, not just the minor portion we get right now.
In fairness that is designed to be an online-specific mode. I’m not annoyed at that.
It is still playable offline, it’s just very limited. I feel like dismissing that isn’t helpful. I agree it’s frustrating, but we don’t need to act like it doesn’t exist.
I understand about contract mode, and agree “very limited” in offline, so guess we differ on what we consider “playable”. For example, in offline mode playing the maps is one thing, but would be much more playable if the challenges were also available for those maps offline - that way it would still be enjoyable to complete any unfinished challenges until its back online?
I heard the opposite, that it’s being considered a seperate category but wont invalidate current Tri runs
Or, you know, offline scoring!
