I wonder if the Signature and the Quack packs are switch exclusive, or will they be available to all. They are obvious Nintendo reference, but generic/filled off enough that they might be open. @Combatglue ?
Also that sand background signature edition looks good. Good work from the team. Always good to see access to the game grow. And with it the community.
Is it weird that I actually really like how Moustachd 47 looks? I need a suit like that on non-Switch consoles pronto. That Luigi suit looks absolutely killer too and it’s uh, really fitting for this particular game, to say the least…
well i was hoping to get the physical edition, but i might have to get the digital instead… i really want to own it physically but between having more items and being cheaper? idk. hopefully the DLC comes to the other version too
Another thing I hope that IOI takes advantage of is that with Nintendo Switch 2 there’s a big install base of people who are not typically stealth action gamers who I think would love Hitman but always say they’ve never tried it and I think if @combatglue could arrange it so that review copies are sent out to some of my favorite nintendo-themed youtubers I’d love to see them get into the series for the first time. For example: Antdude, Scott the Woz, Somecallmejohnny, Caddicarus, Projared, Arlo, Nathaniel Bandy, Max Dood, Happyconsolegamer, etc. - i’m sure other people feel the same way of having youtubers they love who they know will love these games, that haven’t tried them because they’re “nintendo gamers” exclusively
Do we think the NS2 WoA port will include any other content? im just happy new players will get to play everything in chronological order for the first time in an easy to digest manner
I’m thinking since these have non-Nintendo related names, I’m betting at the very least timed platform exclusive DLC. Or hopefully, releases on the same day for everyone, Switch 2 players just get it bundled in with the main game…
IMO, it’s… kinda sad to see even more cosmetic DLC for this game, and this might be split into two packs, when it could easily have been bundled as one cheeky Nintendo-plumber-themed one…
I hope it includes everything that’s been released right now, It will be so sad to introduce this game to the switch community and then being immediatly turned away by the confusing mess of a store page the other platforms have.
I also wonder what they’re gonna do with elusive targets, will new players arrive just to see 4 and a bit years of “missed” missions or will past elusive targets not be visible for switch 2 players? Considering Steam players still have the missed year 1 ETs I’m guessing the latter.
That was my worry too because IOI’s wording is very vague about going from online to offline but in contrast their wording is very specific: that signature edition includes Hitman 2 Expansion Pass and Hitman 3 Deluxe
Now Hitman 3 Deluxe can either refer to the H3 era Deluxe Pack which included the Deluxe escalations exclusively or the WoA Deluxe Pack, which included the Deluxe escalations AND the 7DS DLC. But then there’s the fact they mention it includes the H2 Expansion in addition to whatever that is, so all we have confirmed is signature edition includes by default every story map in the game, Freelancer, Contracts mode, Patient Zero, ET arcade, every Deluxe escalation and every Sniper Map. That’s great! But then in addition to the vagueness of 7DS that’s also not confirming if the Signature edition will automatically grant access to Trinity Pack, Sarajevo Six, the Celebrities or the Freelancer cosmetics. I would hope the Signature edition includes everything up to this point, but this is IOI keep in mind so we could just get what they’ve specifically singled out as being included
That’s why I’m worried about the phrasing of the offline features. For me, these words SHOULD mean “the offline and online modes have the same singleplayer progression, with challenges and rating systems intact in order to be kept in a portable context. if you lose a connection however you will get a tiny icon - without interrupting gameplay - warning you of a dropped connection that will lock you out of online leaderboards if you finish the mission without trying to reconnect.” However what IOI tends to mean is “if you get booted off our servers you can press a button to cripple your experience, but you can still play the game (so long as it isnt an escalation, ET arcade match, Freelancer or other online-only singleplayer content). cool huh?”
I’d say they’re in a zone where they aren’t blatantly Mario and Luigi/licensed ergo this is simply a reference and these packs should eventually reach other systems.
