Hitman World of Assassination - Signature Edition for Switch 2

And with Freelancer variants it’s 50 Different Locations!! 100 Different Locations!

It’s so funny they say 25 locations, but still say 100 hours of gameplay. I have 3000 on this trilogy, put THAT on the box

I think I remember them counting them like this before so probably yeah

I picked up the Switch 2 version on launch day. So far it looks impressive, but I’m a bit let down by the performance.

I’m assuming the issue is frame consistency rather than frame-rate, because the performance issues stick out a lot more in docked mode, where there is no variable refresh rate support. It feels pretty stuttery which makes it hard to aim, and brings the whole experience down a bit.

I think if the frame issues were sorted out, and there was support for mouse-mode and/or gyro, I’d be happy with paying full price. Hoping for a patch.

It seems that the online mode of the Japanese Switch2 version of HITMAN WoA SE is experiencing a “Contract Starting Error” that prevents playing any missions other than the prologue.
Is the development team aware of this?
The new elusive target has been announced, which adds urgency to this response.
As it is, the Japanese Switch2 version of “HITMAN WoA SE” will not be able to play the elusive target.

According to information from a volunteer, the “Contract Starting Error” in Japan
The problem was resolved in the update of Jun/07/2025.
Thank you very much.

btw since i dont have a switch 2 or the signature edition, for sake of informational purposes how much of the content is included in the bundle? a read an article that said the only additional purchases are the three celebrity missions, so is the freelancer cosmetics included with it? also what does the ET arcade screen look like, is mcgregor completely removed or is he - small chance as it is - included with the game’s content?

I own a Switch 2 but not Signature Edition (might pick it up when it goes on sale), I can confirm that everything in the Deluxe Edition is a part of the Signature Edition. The additional content that costs $6.49 CAD each, are the following…

-Makeshift Pack
-Street Art Pack
-Trinity Pack
-The Sarajevo Six
-The Undying Pack
-The Drop Pack
-The Splitter Pack
-The Banker Pack

Like I said before, I don’t own Signature Edition so hopefully someone else can tell you if the McGregor ET Arcade is there or not.

Anyone else having issues on the Switch 2 Hitman game? Mines error 3-4 times now and closed down the game mid way.. also every so often you basically turn invisible to everyone but if you try shoot anyone it does nothing, very annoying

The Switch 2 version of the game seems to be in a pretty rough state. Can we expect it to be improved in future updates? If so, any timeline for when we’ll see those updates start to arrive? @Combatglue

Some major issues specific to Switch 2:

Some other Switch 2 specific issues:

  • The overall performance is subpar compared to other Switch 2 games and the game’s performance on other platforms.
  • Lack of mouse support.
  • Lack of support for gyro aiming.

General issues that negatively impact the user experience across all platforms:

  • Lack of cross-saves.
  • Lack of offline progression.

Don’t forget about this as well.

So those last two have no chance of happening?

Pretty much. This has been an ongoing ask from the community for almost 10 years.

Never say never, but I would only expect to hear something final on this when they sunset the game servers at an undefined point in the future.

I certainly hope so.

It bugs me not having everything available in the game :joy: it was the same with the Stadia items but we finally got them.

These are heavily Nintendo themed so my gut feeling is they’ll probably stay on Switch only.

The fact the switch 2 version didnt use the opportunity to make an online patch is crazy. I know the game isnt selling too well on NS2 - nothing 3rd party is atm - but IO didnt know that and still thought they’d drop a bucket of ice water on a new Hitman customer as soon as they try to play Freelancer on the bus

I was finally able to buy a Nintendo Switch 2, which is still in short supply and being fought over in Japan.
Since I was able to buy the console, I also bought HITMAN WoA SE.
And I cleared HITMAN 1~3 in a rush.
I found some problems at some points.

First of all, there are many situations where the instinct does not function properly.
NPC’s are not visible, surveillance cameras are not visible, and objects that can be
interacted with are not highlighted.
This was critical for proper gameplay.

Also, the light effects on shiny objects such as the sun and electronic billboards seem too strong.
In particular, the New York City billboard and the sun in Haven stand out so strongly that the light is dazzling.

I also encountered a few instances where I was able to walk through doors without opening them.
I think this happens sometimes when playing for a long time.
The app also quit abruptly a few times.

The Switch 2 version is a port of
and I feel that there is a lack of adjustment to the hardware capabilities.
I wish they had made more delicate adjustments for the Switch 2 version.

Personally, what I would like to see in the Switch 2 version is the ability to replace the decision and cancel buttons in the game, and the ability to change the graphics settings.

The Switch 2 version forces the “decide, cancel” buttons to be swapped only in the note menu, pause menu, and inventory.
This is an element that was not present on PS, XBOX, or PC and is very confusing.
I tried using the Switch 2’s on-board functions to swap the buttons, but in that case, the disguise and cover actions are also changed together, which interferes with gameplay.
I would still like to have the ability to swap decision and cancel in-game.

The reason I want the “ability to change graphic settings” is because of the processing slowdowns.
I have the Switch 2 connected to my TV in dog mode and display at 2160p.
Personally, I think it’s okay to reduce the resolution to 1080p, so I set the resolution to 1080p using the console’s functionality, but for some reason, I don’t feel like the processing has been lightened.
I experience a significant drop in fps in areas of heavy processing.
Also, the Switch2 version does not have a graphics settings item, so I can’t change anything related to graphics.
If possible, I would like to reduce the processing drop a little more, so I would have liked to be able to change the resolution and graphics settings on the game side if possible.
