HMF Gamers Minecraft Server

I went exploring on the server alone last night, was pretty cool, if a bit stressful (I kept getting killed by mobs accidentally)

Lots of really cool builds and projects you all have made so far! And its all in Survival Mode! Wow.

Sorry, but I rifled through as many treasure chests as I could – Taking and Putting Back every item that was in them, so it could fill out some of my recipe book. (It’s such a good feature!) So now my character knows how the make beds and doors and boats and all that, which is cool.

I also went on a perilous journey to fix something someone had already set up, as I accidentally lost it.

I’m talking about the Compass to Sapienza.
I saw it near the spawn and thought, ooh? Someone’s made/making Sapienza?? I gotta go see that!

So I grabbed the compass and went off to follow its direction.
Seeing it under construction and planned out areas with signs was neat. Can’t wait to see more progress on it!

And then I tried to pick a fight with a Creeper and it killed me. Leaving all random stuff (and also the Magic Guiding Compass that was originally in a display case) sitting out miles away from the spawn area.

So I knew I had to get it back to it’s original position. Like, it’s not mine, and IDK how hard it is to make a magic compass that points to a specific place.

I walked and ran east, died to a few mobs again along the way… Then I accidentally fell into a deep hole. There was a chicken down there too which was neat, but I then had to dig my way out of there (hard when I didn’t have any weapons)
But I did it!

I also found this adorable sign conversation (and chest) along the way. Haha, you guys are adorable.

I

And then I finally did it! I got the compass back, returned to spawn, and that was the end of my night. Phew!
Still want to find a good place to build my huge chicken sculpture or house or whatever, still don’t have all the details yet but will figure it out.
What’s the best way to get wool? I know that’s typically a good decoration/coloured material to make sculptures with.

Would love a proper tour (and protection gear) from someone at some point. It’s a very cool very big map and I don’t know where to start my adventuring!

Also is water usually this shiny/clear in Minecraft these days? Feels like I’m used to the iconic Deep Blue. Is it some texture pack on the server? Or is it just some PS5 look to it.
Very neat though for such a blocky game.

We did this when we went to get the happy ghast it was fun

It’s part of the vibrant visuals setting currently available on every bedrock platform besides switch and lower end phones it makes alot of stuff extra pretty not sure why lava doesn’t get to be fancy aswell

I totally haven’t been using the sheep in that hole nearish blossom’s area. I believe they were lasted used or are @Codename-24’s property, due to the matching white and pink sheep and the amazing hor air ballon in the sky! So I hope that was okay, I just needed some banners for curtains. When i can I’ll properly look at getting cows and sheep into my farm area just down the mountain in the oak forest BUT that won’t be for a little while.

It is a stressful place, mob wise  I run most of the time! When I first got on the server, I died six times in rapid succession to creepers :stuck_out_tongue:

But welcome to the server! You could make a free range chicken farm

Loom buddies

Okay so I’ve been a busy bee this morning and have built a small and simple stockroom for equipment and storage in the form of barrels. I tried to use blocks I haven’t really used together before and I think it looks really cute and fitting for my farm!

I then decided to take a break and just collect some resources for some more simple builds to not burn myself out and then came back in the afternoon and built both a small covering over some Hay (okay, cobblestone placeholder blocks for now, also ignore the dirt staircase, I remembered need some more quartz for detailing there :frowning: ) as well as a really cute well beside what will become my front garden before my cattle enclosure begins.

Oh you’ve got the crafting mood in you, pumping out these builds! Are they all close to one another?

Reality close, I stretched them across the right side of the area as I plan on making a winding path to connect them all up with the garden by my house (when that’s built) and then I’ve not decided on spots for the rest of the builds right now.

Y’all need a windmill  for your grain! Slash wheat. I’m just full of ideas other people should do while I haven’t even finished my first bedroom at the lodge

Some builds take time, I am only speeding through these smaller ones because they’re basic, small (obviously) and I have a seperate creative world where I go and test what sort of block palettes I want to use for the build, rough examples of greenery and I also find out the scale of the build so I can map out a spot on my land to put it down, knowing it’ll fit snug as a bug in a rug.

The barn, like that will take me a good while to get the wood for for that and make sure the scale isn’t way off the rest of my builds which are fairly accurate for Steve or whoever to roam around in. Your lodge in the mountains is coming along really well and I can’t wait to see it be completed. The outside (especially the roof) look really authentic to actually log based lodges and looks amazing in the terrain!!!

You use a creative test world to trial build palettes? What form of professional minecrafter are you!

My lodge would be done if I went on more often  I’m also going to demolish the mountain opposite it to make a valley view from the deck. You’ll see, you’ll all see :smiling_face_with_horns: sometime this year :stuck_out_tongue:

Somewhen you should show me where you’re mining out the mountain opposite and I’ll use it for a dirt spot for sure. Always in need of some dirt!

I shall  you’re probably aware there’s a portal that takes you through to the snowy area, it’s basically the whole area that portal is standing on.
Feel free to take what you want, cobblestone and ores too. Right now guests are staring at a sheer dirt slope, and I’d like to terraform it into a valley with some natural features so there’s actually a view.

Oh have you considered getting some villagers to work as farmers? They could buy your crop harvest and you could use the emeralds to buy more difficult to obtain items like quartz. It might be cute if we have different villager types in different areas, like if you need a brewing one you’ll have to journey with your emeralds to my lodge’s bar

When is Mojang releasing the release date for Copper stuff?

We don’t really know anything besides it’s in autumn

I can’t wait for it to be added! The lightning rods looks really clean in the green oxidised forms. I don’t really like the look of the regualr ones with 95% of the blocks in the game, but the green is more versatile

I use them for pipework and prongs, but totally forget their actual function. That is, until there’s an almighty bang and I launch

At the lodge the other day, my character was sitting idle while I munched some sushi and thought about ceiling beams. All of a sudden, there was a loud bang like a gunshot and it startled me so bad the sushi went flying and a skeleton put a slowness arrow through my neck while I was trying to keyboard away with one hand and clean up with the other

Hmm pipework is where I use them too, although if I’m going more modern (or i have the room) I’d use andesite or deepslate wall blocks because that orange is so bright, I’m glad they changed it from the original organce colour they had before in the inital showcase because that looked horrendous and put my off the block all together.

Oh I know!!! I was sat AFK just looking out of my upstairs bedroom window in my farmhouse and the loudest bang erupted directly above me! After that close call I decided to best put some rods up on the roof as to not burn down my entire house!!!
