How can I make sure that my items don't disappear after syndicate showdown?

Why do I take my weapon from storage before showdown and after showdown it just disappears?

Did you drop them?

No. I go in with a pistol, for example, go through the showdown, and upon arrival at the safehouse it simply disappears from my inventory.

Then upon a successful showdown all gear should be automatically put back on the shelf.
