I HATE Elusive Targets

I only have the first 6 levels because I’m broke-as and can’t afford the full game, so I was really excited when I saw that The Revolutionary was about to drop, considering it’s on Santa Fortuna, a map I wouldn’t normally have access to. I live in Papua New Guinea (that’s next to Australia if you were wondering) so every time IOI drops an elusive target it arrives for me at like 10 pm. I need sleep man! But when I wake up, the game tells me that I ‘missed’ the target and I have to wait a week for it. Stuff you IOI, not everyone is lucky enough to live in Europe. Have some leniency!

The Revolutionary went live May 15th… You had plenty of time to play it.

Gunna deploy a positivity sandwich for the first time ever, so prepare yourself.

It’s cool that you live in PNG, that’s one of the places I’ve never been
I advise against making your first post insulting towards the devs
But welcome to the forum, we hope you stick around

If the game tells you that you "missed’ an Elusive Target, that means time frame for particular Elusive Target has elapsed and you didn’t play it at all. If it will be a rerun of this particular version of the Target you will have another chance to kill it.
Usually there is around 10 days of time when the Elusive Target is active and you able to play it.
Seems like you just got to know about this Target live too late.
You can launch the game regularly and see if any Elusive Target is live in Careers → Elusive Target tab

An elusive target running doesn’t give you access to the mission if you don’t own it

Celebrity ones like the current LeChiffre re-run are the only ones that let players that dont own the map play them via the elusive target arcade

Thank you for telling me

Look, I love IOI. Think that they’re a great studio and probably actually care about the community more than most devs. Would never hold anything against the devs themselves. However, I do believe that their current means of operating the game (in regard to elusive targets and even worse, the always online garbage) is really biased towards people in particular time zones and regions. They are not alone in this regard though.

How? They’re not limited to a 6/12 hour window or something stupid, you get ten whole days. Unless you’re in some timezone where its sleeping time for 10 days and you hibernate like a bear - I don’t see how you’re disadvantaged at all…

I suppose by regions they may mean that internet isn’t great there.

I will admit I hate most elusive targets, but not because of the time limitation. I just think that most aren’t that enjoyable.
