I want IOI's attention

Hey everyone,

I wanted to make a genuine request to IO Interactive regarding some older HITMAN rewards and DLC content that are no longer obtainable through normal gameplay.

There are a few items I’d really love to see become obtainable again:

  • Black Winter Suit
  • ICA Performance Coins
  • Aluminum Travel Briefcase
  • Disruptor Fur Coat
  • Disruptor MMA Suit

I don’t understand why these items were are not available now, and I’m not asking IOI to just give them out for free. I’m just wondering whether there could eventually be another legitimate way for players who missed their original availability to obtain them.

I noticed that some of the previously unavailable Disruptor content has been made available again through the World Champions Pack. I think that was a step in the right direction, especially making some of the Disruptor weapons and other content available again. It would be great to see the same thing happen with the rest of the Disruptor content that is still unavailable, particularly the two outfits.

The two Disruptor outfits the Disruptor Fur Coat and Disruptor MMA Suit still don’t appear to be available to players who didn’t own the original Disruptor Pack.

So my question to IOI is:

Are there any plans to eventually make these items available again?

If bringing them back is something IOI would consider, would it be possible to make them available through something like a new paid DLC, an in-game challenge, a special event, or another legitimate unlock method?

I’d personally be completely fine with having to purchase a DLC or complete a difficult challenge to obtain them. I think giving players a way to earn or purchase older content could be a good way of preserving these items while still respecting their original availability.

I’m sure there are also plenty of people who are new to HITMAN, as well as people who simply missed out on these rewards when they were originally available, who would be happy to have an alternative way to obtain them. It could give newer and returning players something to work toward while allowing IOI to bring some of this older content back into the game.

I’d also really like to know whether there were any thoughts to provide another legitimate way to obtain these items for players who missed the original progression-transfer opportunity.

I think HITMAN has accumulated a huge amount of interesting things to unlock over the years, and I really like the idea of finding ways to preserve access to that content for newer or returning players.

I’m not asking for everything to simply be handed out for free. I’d genuinely be happy to work toward these items through challenges or purchase appropriate DLC if that were an option. I would just love to have an opportunity to obtain things that are currently unavailable.

And if anyone from IOI happens to see this, I’d genuinely appreciate even a simple answer about whether these items are something you could consider bringing back someday.

This one is a who knows situation at this point. Years ago, it was said that there was a desire to keep these items exclusive to those that originally obtained them - as a small thing for the loyal players that have been around since the beginning of WoA.

Whether that position has changed or not, we do not know. That post from Travis (ex-“he does the words” guy) is from 2022.

Its been said in the community streams Arti does recently that these will stay exclusively available to those that own The Disruptor DLC.

I think it’s indeed a lost cause for the disruptor suits. A good compromise would be to give the 47 in underwear from the Le Chiffre mission instead.

The travel briefcases are the worst offenders as they are shown prominently in game art a lot. I always felt the travel briefcases would fit well for completing each campaign since each has stickers reflecting a specific game.

Black winter suit and collector’s coins would be nice, though the latter does exist in Freelancer. I would love to see the freelancer items like the antique sedative syringe and water canister to find their way into the inventory for the campaign.

It does not, that is a different coin that was intended to be one of Hitman 2’s Elusive Targets coins until IOI scrapped that idea. (Like how The Solstice Suit was Hitman 2’s version of the Black Winter Suit until IOI scrapped the idea.)

So there are 2 coins, one entirely unattainable and one only currently found in freelancer. I wonder what else they’ve scrapped like the butcher stuff for Berlin.

No, there are 6 coins. The ICA Commendable Performance Coin, ICA Superior Performance Coin, and ICA Outstanding Performance Coin are each from Elusive Targets in HITMAN (2016). The ICA Outstanding Service Coin was the tier three coin for Elusive Targets in Hitman 2, but IOI scrapped that idea and so it never became unlockable, nor did the tier one and tier two coins.

The informal “tiers” mentioned by me are as follows:

  1. Attempt an Elusive Target
  2. Complete an Elusive Target
  3. Complete an Elusive Target with the Silent Assassin rating

Yeah, I don’t understand why. I really don’t think exclusivity should be in a single-player game. Maybe if we’re vocal about wanting these rewards, we might see them return.

At most, I see a possibility for the Black Winter Suit, the ICA Performance Coins, and the Aluminum Travel Briefcase. As for Disruptor gear, IOI has already said that it’s not coming back.
It would be nice to have a new Elusive Target (not a Celebrity) called “The Legacy.” There, you could earn the remaining items through Special Assignments.
