This was by all accounts unintentional and actually stated to have been fixed in a patch later (I absolutely do not remember which one and whether it was Year 1 or 2), but obviously that was not the case and they haven’t addressed it since.
Edit: Did a quick search in the bug thread where I reported the patch fix not being implemented, and I posted that in October 2021. So yeah, still in Year 1 and not fixed since…

yea it had a proper loud sound in H2 yet it somehow got a different, incorrect sound
i think this was meant to be a DTI baller but got misnamed the Goldballer, to which the devs accidentally put it in Freelancer
Yes, I agree.
But it is also true that it was difficult to know whether it was a specification or not, since there is no single icon displaying the optional in freelancer mode.
Since the specifications are different from those of the main version, I would have liked to have seen a proper performance description if possible.
