Kazuha's Japanese Horror Tales - Featured Contracts 30th October 2025

That doesn’t sound fair for those who used English anyway despite not being their first language, and also for those who are not familiar with Japanese horror culture but still looked into it  Besides from other’s reply it seems the original author did provide a FC image so it should have been better explanation, problem seem to be not using any FC images despite asking for them :frowning:

Fair point but rather than crying over spilled milk I would concentrate on playing the contracts because neither the image or description or any other razzmatazz influence the quality of the contract.

Also I am an english speaking person and just didnt bother to write the description. Hope it alleviates your anxiety for not getting your contract featured.

I didn’t play the contracts yet and didn’t see yours, but I’m a long time non-fan of excessive amount of complications which restricts my freedom and creativity (though I’m not that creative, but still). For example I love to take my time and “clear the horizon” of some areas by knocking NPCs out and stashing them in containers, also I especially hate time limited contacts. If it’s insta-fail when time runs out, I won’t even bother to play it at all. I think I can give my against-opinion on any complication, especially mandatory (insta-fail ones).
It’s just not fun at all to play contract that limits and resticts any of your move and I tend to avoid those.
Still there are exceptions to any rule, and if I feel it’s fun and interesting to do a contract even not going through the list of complications, I will play it. Fresh example is my recording of a random New York contract in Fan made Contracts thread.
You are very welcome to take part in submissions in a future, but please be mindful that there are people like me, who are not fans of restrictions and limitations which spoil any moment of fun.

And yes, Featured Contracts from my perspective is a face of Contact Mode and even a newbie can play them, and if they feel annoyed with any of Featured Contracts they might even refund the game

played the 2 contracts by @Charlie_Farmer so far, these were fun to do and had me a little stumped how to get it done quick(ish) at times.

At a glance of the others, I feel this batch could’ve done with a bit more variety at least in terms of maps; we have two in Sgail, two in Hokkaido (pretty forgivable though with the Japanese theme, and the fact they are 1 and 5 targets) and three in Sapienza (two using the same disguise). Maybe it’s just me but I like to play mostly different maps in a batch personally.

Thank you! I love your run for New York, it was very similar to my intended run, getting about the same time (though yours was a little quicker in the end)

Yeah i was a little disappointed at the amount of the same maps, BUT personally as long as the contracts are fun and they aren’t too similar/use different parts of the map, I don’t mind too much.

As one of the plague doctor sapienza creators, I absolutely agree. I tend not to even like more than one contract for each map (unless it’s a variant), so this batch did feel very unvaried.

Another good contract down. This morning managed to get Curse of Uzumaki by @The_Elite_Institute in under 2 mins.

#10 The Grudge New York

I began in the basement as the Robber. Getting a bodyguard disquise and keycard disable cameras. Then upstairs to get the job interviewer disquise and doing the interview. Having both basically gives you access to everywhere.

First Target as Job interviewer. The 3rd floor the investment banker area. first stop by the supply room and get the hobby knife, then head to the bathroom where the investment banker guy goes into the bathroom and place a coin by toilet where he snorts. he will see the coin, and when prompted drown, He must be a drown kill.

then head up staris, the woman target, is in the big research room with Mann. when she is near people, Use a durian have that equipped at start of mission. but when you drop it, do it in away where the girl is the 2nd to breathe it. The first target pukes in the trash can, the 2nd goes to a bathroom. you want her alone in the bathroom. Then use Hobby knife once alone. You must stab with Hobby, thrown doesn’t count.

The final target, switch to the bodyguard disquise, and get the scissors in the breakroom 2nd floor, near interview room. When you can get the final guard alone stab with scissors. You can grab the exit keycard and roll.

Excellent challenge.

Nice one, and very different to the other I saw.

surprised nobody has used the bell on the church guy, but I guess that’s probably slower!

#5 Revenge of the Fugu Fish

Excellent Challenge, Had to think about this for a moment. Had to replan a few times. Was hoping at first the injection needles in the room near where Smith is locked up would be available like in the surgeons elusive target. But not so much

So

I equipped 2 lethal needles, As I spawned and waited for the right moments. I eliminated both targets in the kitchen and put body away. Wasn’t sure if I would fail, hiding the body if one saw the other even it being a accidental kill, didn’t take the chance just got both. used the storage bin to hide bodies

Then the Rat poison in the same kitchen, waited for the guy sitting in the breakroom to release the glass and emetic and waited in bathroom to drown and immediately put in closet, was afarid the toilet making noise would bring someone in.

Then the final 2, I first went to destroy the cameras in morgue area and get a crowbar under helicopter and wrench mainly to be used to draw the final 2 targets upstairs down.

The mele knife target comes down first once he is hidden from the staircase easy melee kill and put in the storage bin in the fugu fish area.

Last target, I had a durian stored in the bathroom where the guy showers. I used the crowbar and wrench to lure the final drown target down, use durian and he went to the same bathroom. Easy Drown and immeately hide body

All 5 easy SA.

there are several parameters in addition,

1 Target kills only

2 No video recordings

3 any shot that doesn’t hit a target is a fail, even it hitting the camera recorder.

4 all bodies must be hidden, dead and unconcious

5 Can’t change starting disquise.

So everyone read the parameters

Excellent Challenge, 14:10 total time.

How did you come up with this, and how did it get selected. I wish I could create something.

#4 The Tomie Termination

Ok, I just did your challenge. The most difficult part is getting rid of the people who go into the bathroom who are near the cafe drinking coffee. The Fire targets.

I equipped 2 lethal needles, and oil canister.

I began going upstairs to take out cameras and getting a crowbar, above the cafe. also got rat poison from the ice cream shop and Chef Morcello kitchen. Getting the 3 coins near the guards by the bathroom underneath cafe, i used coins to distract target drinking coffee poison glass, getting both targets into the bathroom. oil canister, and fire. Easy , The hard part is getting all the NPC who go into the bathrooms. I got rid of the 2 guards, 1 woman and 1 guy who goes into the second bathroom to the left. I did all that before getting the girls sick.

Denise is easy, use crow bar to open the door inside the room, lure her in and inject poison, easy and make sure no one sees you do it.

Gil, is the easiest, she is at the water by pier, she walks from sitting towards the path as if she’s going towards the trail to the cave, there is a moment where you can stick her with poison before anyone sees.

I liked it. the most difficuilt part are the NPC, when setting up the fire challenge making sure they don’t go into any of the bathrooms.

Enjoyed watching the runs of @IcarusImmortal777 for this batch.
Were reluctant to post them here, so sharing on their behalf!

I appreciate you for doing that brother. You’re one of my top supporters for my work and it really means a lot to me. I’m honored to have you as a friend :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :face_blowing_a_kiss::victory_hand:.. Also a special thank you to my other supporters and friends within this forum who support my work. You guys are all awesome and I’m very grateful to be part of this stellar community.

Unfortunately I’m back to working a full-time job 5-6 days a week sometimes and I’m unable to post often or even support my fellow gamers, so I apologize for that. Fortunately though, I won’t be as busy during the holidays, so I’ll be here to show my support and bring more banger strats and share more videos hopefully.

Thank you all very much and will see you soon God willing. :heart_hands:

After Monday’s patch they changed the images for these Featured Contracts to more unique ones that look a lot more appealing!

Thought it was strange that they lacked a border, but have a hunch they were quickly thrown on and the lack of icon/art a bit of an oversight

I made sure to add something on them with also a bit of a spooky shadow surrounding them. I’m not much of an artist and wasn’t aware of the process regarding logo etc (sorry for that!).

Should go live fairly quickly!
