Well, I put this one off for a while since nobody responded to The Graveyard Shift, but I guess people couldn’t give a shit about The Graveyard Shift (which is understandable!)
Here’s another stage that lacks a briefing, and weirdly lacks a loading screen when you first play it. Which is weird considering the screen that does exist is one of the best.
Anyway, what are your memories of The Jacuzzi Job?
I really like this stage, although there are some elements that I don’t care for. For starters, the glass in his bedroom is bulletproof - which is fine - but can’t even be penetrated by the sniper rifle that was designed for bulletproof glass! It makes dealing with Charlie far more limited than it ought to be.
I’m also not a massive fan of wandering around in darkness, and this level almost requires it. It wouldn’t be so bad if the night vision wasn’t appalling to use, so I instead turn the TV brightness up and wander around blindly.
Still, I like the idea of staging a break-in and dealing with this scumbag and his army of bikini warriors!
I always liked this one too. It’s small and short but it’s fun. The break in element was different although teenage me didn’t put together that the “break in gone wrong” probably wouldn’t pass once it was discovered that his twin was also dead in the basement
But the level is interesting and I like that extra guards will arrive in certain circumstances. I like the electrician that comes to fix the power, and I like the guard that plays piano. It’s a nice bit of world building.
Yeah the same. I think the break-in a nice twist but doesn’t make all that much sense since all the evidence points to foul play! Still, lots of nice little touches that make it a cute level - even if it’s not the best the game has to offer!
