This might sound controversial, but I just noticed that other than Joey and Sophia, there are hardly any black targets in the main storyline… especially black male targets (I am not talking about elusive targets and side missions, I don’t care much about these)
Yes, few more female blacks are there, LaSandra Dixon in Absolution (and Ljudmila Vetrova probably), but we see very very few. The only black male targets we have are few of the bodyguards of Alexander Caine in blood money.
This is strange because throughout the entire game, you assassinate people from all races, European, Hispanic, Russian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Middle Eastern.
The only African guy I remember is Reza Jaydan and he is not black either.
Well, forget black targets, I don’t even remember any significant black character appearing as an ally haha
There’s definitely a lack, as the targets are the “stars” of the game in my opinion, though we do have Kalvin Ritter (or at least, the ICA actor who plays him) as the very first target of the WOA in Freeform Training. Allegedly, Ritter’s from Barbados.
Funny you mention the typo “Joey” and Sophia Washington, as at one point in the HITMAN 2 development cycle, the Washington twins were supposed to be a brother and sister.
As for other unique minor characters, we have the Crystal Dawn representative Mabaya Mzabuni in Paris, whose organization is mentioned several times throughout the trilogy. Additionally, the captured Herald, Bronson, in the Colorado basement, who I think has some of the most revealing and crucial dialogue in the game—and who I believe could’ve been a target down the road. We also have the coolest bodyguard in the game, Spencer “The Hammer” Green in Whittleton Creek.
And to address your last concern, we can’t forget that we do have Olivia Hall as one of our closest allies by the end of HITMAN III.
I’m pretty sure she’s a white/caucasian woman, and might be of European or maybe Russian(?) heritage, given her unusual name. But I think it’s safe to assume she’s been sunbathing a little too much.
Byron Washington III (the father of the Isle of Sgail twins, head of the Pax Mundus Foundation) will be the main villain of the eventual HITMAN IV. Fully set on revenge against 47 and Diana for the deaths of his daughters and for destroying Providence, he’ll become the one person who turns their entire World of Assassination upside down. Screencap this.
Yep, she is: Ljudmila Vetrova is an English confidence artist of Russian descent, who made a lot of money claiming to be the heir to a great fortune. Born to a KGB couple working in the UK around the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union, Vetrova learned how to use her wits to survive in an increasingly hostile environment in the new world order.
Vetrova is an obscure Russian surname, to say the least, but still.
There are also Raymond Valentine (Absolution), Scoop (Blood Money), black thugs in Rotterdam harbour’s store (Codename 47), Klaus Liebleid, White Rabbit, Kalvin Ritter, Bartholomew Angus, Richard Ekwensi, Patrick Morgan (World of Assassination).
Some of them are elusive targets only, but in the future they will become permanent. I’m sure of this
Byron Washington III could be a nice antagonist of another bonus campaign, where he send groups of assassins to kill 47. In WoA there is a lot of potential killers that could hunt for 47. I hope so much
What is interesting, Hitman is a rather inclusive game (appart from the fact that it screams at you when booting up.) Coutning female targets, for instance, I think it is about 50/50 in the main game
And this is even more weird, considering Hitman is not only about taking out like white rich elite: like stories are rather different
I don’t really care tbh, but would be fun I guess)
