Launching Freelancer disconnects me from Hitman servers

Hello all, I’m having a persistent issue that is preventing me from launching Hitman Freelancer mode. When I go to launch Freelancer from the menu, I receive an “Error Starting Contract” and a “Disconnected” error, and then another “Error Starting Contract” error one after another. When exiting to the menu, I am still connected to the Hitman servers. I have no issue loading the campaign, contracts, escalations, or any other online feature. I do not have any modifications to the game installed, nor have I installed any previously. I have tried the following thus far:
Restarting the game multiple times
Verifying the game files on steam multiple times
Restarting my device multiple times
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times
Leaving the game for 2 days and trying again later

I’m at a bit of a loss as to what to do, but I would appreciate any advice!

Sorry no one answered. If you have still the issue, maybe it’s an issue with your account. Actually I have an issue myself, on my PS4 my favorite contracts disappeared and never came back. Yes I called support but it was useless. So If I were you I would try with another account on the same PC. I don’t know how this is done on Steam, or if it is really possible, may be other PC users can help. If freelancer is ok with another user, is 100% something on server side.

I managed to find a solution for my case. I tend to play on my steam deck, and I found that booting freelancer on my windows PC, and then going back to my steam deck fixed the issue. Still not sure what caused it, but at least I can play freelancer now!
