After seeing that Mindseye, the new game published by IOI has a level creator mode i was thinking if it can happen also the same in Hitman (Nearly impossible i think because it’d be a heavy addition).
Like reusing past levels parts and decorations and just adding random npcs and defining their route would be cool.
Imagine, there would be tons of entirely new missions with other new opportunities, BUT WITH NO DIALOGUES.
I’ve always wanted this, even as far back as Hitman Blood Money, but I don’t think they’ll ever do it because if you think about it, if players can make their own missions, there will be nothing for IO to do. There’d be no need to make anymore Hitman games if the player base can make their own.
The only way I could see it working is if they made it a freemium service where you buy HITMAN: Missions and there’s all the pre-existing assets from the WoA trilogy, but you can get unique things from an endless roll of microtransactions and other such perks. It would keep the game going now the trilogy is over, but it would be a huge undertaking. If level design was as simple as Sims-style drag and drop, HITMAN games would be coming out yearly Imagine trying to bug fix a custom map!
+1 to this!
I was thinking an addition to Freelancer: a seperate ‘training mockup’ area with the aeshetics of the ICA training facility tutorials (Boat/air hangar) that you can unlock set pieces/room pieces and either ‘actor’ npcs or training bots?
(Hard to think of what would fit best context wise for 47 in his safehouse, advanced VR/holograms maybe??)
The main point is to practice using all the tools+gadgets in a non-mission area. Unlocks for more advanced set pieces/rooms, all in a generic ‘training’ theme.
For e.g you start with unlocking a simple room with a window and a body chest inside, then as you progress unlock larger rooms/open spaces and certain trap items, to practice using a water/taser trap for example?
Regarding the npcs it would cool if we could ‘randomise’ an npc and target set within the training room (Ability to choose enforcers on/off?) that generates. Disguises could also be generic i.e simple colour coded outifts for guard ranks for example.
Freelancer Enforcer/Assassin npcs could be unlocked to increase the challenge of the training room.
Escalation complications you can unlock to turn on/off for each room i.e do not get spotted, no shots fired.
If it was an advanced VR setup this would negate any deaths etc. Could use a minimalist theme akin to Contracts opening all white room?
Would be very cool =)
(Can’t wait for coop btw)
