The only thing I noticed is that there is always daytime on the outside every time I enter the safehouse. There is never night on the outside. Most likely bad luck.
Edit: you wonāt believe it, I just had night outside the safehouse for the first time after a mission with your mod enabled. LOL!
Iāve made a variant of The Politician (Hawkeās Bay) accessible in Haven Island (non-showdown only). It is a cross between The Politician and unused Ghost Mode NPCs which I have modified. There are 12 custom targets that can spawn, they are all civilians. There are 28 possible targets total. Itās definitely not the most difficult variant in the world, but sometimes a relaxing stroll on the beach is nice, yāknow?
Iāve also enabled a bad looking map for Hantu Port so you can have an idea where everything is, and Iām hoping it will show whether the ātarget is missingā issue is the fact the hostages are the targets but have their glow overridden.

Not sure if I did something wrong or mod itself did an oopsie but Hawkeās Bay loaded for me on TOP of Haven Island rather that instead of it (also broken lighting).

Yes, I do. I can try disable both Haven and Hawkeās Bay to see if it helps.

Yeah, unless I tell Sieni about it, the method they apply LU to Freelancer maps is via the scene file, but my scene files need to be totally empty so they can load either of the two maps. I dunno if theyāre still updating that mod but Iāll at least let them know
I think Iāve found a way to get it to work in Coloradoās slot without breaking other mods etc, all that will happen is it will add 2gb to your game folder, instead of 1gb like if I put it on Ambrose. So which slot would you like it to use?

I voted for Ambrose, but in truth, either is fine. Space is cheap so the extra gigabyte isnāt a big deal. Do either of those two maps have any variants at the moment? Iām not recalling anyā¦
Colorado has The Vector (Sandbox) and ETs (Night). Ambrose just has⦠daytime
But people seem to really dislike Colorado (Including me) so Iāve put it as an option anyway, so people can completely replace it if they like. Thatās why Iām putting it to a poll
Iāve been wondering, are there any plans to include Meerkat elements into Sapienza variant?
If Iām not mistaken it changes a number of things like complete change of room above Bravumoās office, suit guards in Villa Caruso and Sanguine shop open.
Maybe it can be merged with Methlab variant?
By the way I know that at that point Iām kinda scrapping bottom of a barrel regarding additional content but I have a couple of ideas regarding additional variations and changes to existing ones:
Right now Iām focussing on big variants that are taking weeks and weeks to complete, thatās bonus mission Romania + (probably) Hawkeās Bay.
Looked into Meerkat, it cannot be merged with any existing version of Sapienza because it has a different NAVP, and I think Sapienza has enough variants as it is Iād only put in the work (Donāt forget itās full of untextured crap, incomplete scripts, floating text bubbles, yadda) for it if I was really really out of things to do.
Day Hokkaido only exists because it had an IO-made ToD brick ready to go, otherwise I wouldnāt have included it all since PZ has the day ToD. I wonāt rule it out but⦠itāll be at the bottom of the list. Are you sure the change in surgeon dramas isnāt caused by the fact Soders is dead rather than KAI is hacked? Because I have a Soders dead variant that changes their paths already (Night ETs)
Not interested in New York, done all I could, and āblackoutā sounds very uninteresting to me, especially since itās an indoor map.

Sapienza already has at least one virus destroyed variant (Night) and to be honest Iām 80% sunset ETs also has virus destroyed. All it does it make hazmat peeps permanently stand in the showers which makes them worse targets
Didnāt know about the satellite thing in Ambrose, might look into that in future.
Taken a break from Romania and have been experimenting with giving Hawkeās Bay its own slot (Something that was cut and has remnants around Iām able to use). Still needs to hijack some Ambrose Island stuff on the server because no remnants of HB Freelancer stuff remains on server, but HB will be able to show on world map in its own slot and not share with Haven, nor need to be copied to somewhere itās accessible. And I will put Hantu Port in this slot so itās not detracting from Sgail.
At the moment itās working alright (Some things to be worked out, this is just a brute force test that isnāt suitable for release) but I note that:

Hawkeās Bay must now have a showdown (which Iāve made) since it is the only variant in this new slot if you donāt have Hantu Port installed.
To make things not as easy, Iāve increased difficulty in these ways:
I think Iāll make HB and SMF option that is on by default, so anyone who really doesnāt want HB or Hantu Port can just disable it without having to download Freelancer Map Remover or something.
I donāt think the mod will be receiving an update until SDK is ready to support the new map slot, so youāll have to wait a bit.
Not gonna lie, I have a little mixed feelings about change of viewcones. I never liked gameplay inconsistency in Haven which is why Iām using a mod to āfixā it. Ah well, guess Iāll see how i feel about it once update drops.
By the way, will upcoming Train map be also ported to this slot?

Like I said, it fits this map much better. Itās limited to NPCs who are only outside, and you see them ages away which means they should be seeing you ages away. Did a playthrough today and even with Haven viewcones it still feels like their sightlines are too short tbh
It should be noted that the viewcone only applies to some things, for example this guard has Haven viewcones but he still cannot disguise enforce me even though Iām right in front of him

Iāve tweaked the map so the whole house and the whole outside arenāt alerted when certain NPCs are spooked, so there wonāt be that awkward situation I posted on reddit where all suspects flee because of one stray bullet outside the house
However yeah, Iām not going to pretend modified The Politician showdowns are the best of all time. Hereās what the sniper method might look like for you if you bring the worldās worst rifle like I did
And until thereās a bonus mission alternative Hawkeās Bay (Which will be a long time away) I guess Iāll have a midday and/or sunset version to serve as variations
