[MOD] Freelancer Variations

I downloaded the mods today. It may be that I used an old file that was in the same folder. On the other hand, SMF didn’t show an update.
I’ll try re-applying the mods and will check Haven again at the next opportunity.

The Freelancer Variations SDK mod has been discontinued in favour of the Mission Companion SDK mod, please delete FreelancerVariations.dll from your mods folder and replace it with that instead. The JSON file remains unaffected and does not need to be touched.

I reapplied the mods and also checked the assassins, they have accents, so it seems to be the latest version. It’s been non-alerted, non-hardcore showdowns, in case that makes a difference.

Otherwise, I saw (on two occasions) a suspect having a meeting by themselves.

Unfortunately, I was not able to see where their missing counterparts were at the time and what they were doing.

Some floating darts above a box in the hangar.

In general, I’m liking the map quite a bit, including for showdowns, despite the size. Maybe it was because of the size and not having to run around so much . Enforcers and Lookouts seem to be placed reasonably. Just found myself missing a body hiding spot in the kitchen or bathroom in one particular showdown.

Btw, I assume the merchant outside the base was aligned specifically so that the dialogue doesn’t trigger?

Did they actually talk and shake hands? Or were they waiting for someone who never showed up. If the former, I have no idea how I’d even fix because the game uses just a single spatial point for both suspects, so if it’s fine for one it’s fine for the other (unless it’s against a wall or something)

Never seen that before in my life, and I can’t imagine they’re freelancer related… no clue what’s going on there

Nope :flushed: But I’m gonna leave that be

I heard the dialogue from that one person and I think they also went through the animation.

1.8.2 - Compatibility Update

This is a boring housekeeping update to tidy up the mod. But hopefully people complain less now.

Changelog:

  • Restructures mod to remove all(?) SMF warnings, reduce file size, slightly increase deploy time probably, not deploy files twice if you have Random ToDs installed, ToD files have better compatibility with Lighting Ultimate and mods generally
  • Romania: Removes story exit, visible floating far in the sky to eagle-eyed players
  • Cuba: Safe clue in radio room no longer spawns inside CCTV recorder

No JSON update needed

1.8.3 - My Bad

I’ve heard your bug reports and managed to recreate and fix them.

Changelog
- Romania: Include Sieni’s Signature Suit fix by default to prevent suit mod related crashes (relax, Sieni gets a small amount of DP for every download)
- Mumbai: Illusions of Grandeur - Fixes no safe spawning when safe01 (Rangan Tower) is meant to be picked
- Mumbai: Day – Includes changes from other variants that replace enforcer street thugs with ‘security’
- Whittleton Creek: Fixes crashes if Random ToDs is deployed
- The FV and Random ToDs files for Mumbai and Haven Island will no longer conflict (deleting targets in story mode). UPDATE JSON TO GRAB NEW VERSION OF MUMBAI DAY.
- There are less/no double deployment of files if you have FV and Random ToDs (slightly reduced deploy time)
- Cuba: Fixes one spawn not working properly and spawning you in middle of hangar if using Haven Island’s slot

You will require a JSON update for the Mumbai Day fixes

UPDATE: To all who downloaded the past 6 hours, manually download again as there was a deploy error my PC (cache) didn’t pick up on

and I didn’t think it was worth doing a brand new version as almost no one has downloaded this one yet
