Movie News Thread

It was a bizarre concept to begin with, because, and bear with me here… none of those guys are the Joker! You can’t make a good film off of a comic book villain alone, without the hero they are associated with, and have it be good unless the character is good and as loved as the hero. Venom got lucky off of popularity and coolness factor, but it’s already dropping off. I guarantee you that nobody who hasn’t read a comic or watched the 90s animated Spider-Man series had ever heard of Morbius or even know that he’s associated with Spider-Man. And now this new guy who I didn’t know about until reading the post you made about him!? Sony needs to give it up. It’s over.

It isn’t to me, they picked the actor first then he picked a character he liked then Sony just went along with it. It is that simple.

That’s… so breathtakingly stupid, I don’t even know what to say about it.

Not good enough. I suggest a “Wall” movie.

Nah: Kangaroo Man! It’ll hop right to the top of the charts.

Comics are weird.

I don’t know who El Muerte is, but a quick google search tells me he’s a luchador so I’ll just assume this is the Spiderman version of Superargo.

I’ve never seen the Late Late Show. I only know that suddenly there was this guy named James Corden who was apparently famous for some reason but I had no idea why.

Nobody knows why he is famous either. I remember watching The Late Late Show back when Chris Ferguson ran it, I actually bore witness to the host switching. That fat fuck didn’t waste a single hot minute turning that show into shit, it was like a switch was flicked.

I liked some episodes of his show where celebrities are in a car with him, like Adele and such, but beyond that, seems like an overrated love child of Drew Carey and Chris Farley.

Avatar 2 - latest trailer released 1 hour back

Finally, thirteen years after the over-rated, over-indulged surprise blockbuster that only did so well because of new 3-D graphics that have been so over-saturated people stopped putting them in movies within five years, and because some filmgoers confused it with a cartoon series of a similar name, and after numerous stops and starts and false rumors, we’re finally getting the long past its shelf-life sequel that nobody wants or asked for, and the conclusion of James Cameron’s Pocahontas In Space franchise. I say conclusion because my prediction is that this film will tank so hard, with only a desire to see a film in theaters again driving any ticket sales, that Cameron’s gonna have to abandon his whole planned series… which is just what people have been saying since he announced he was even going to do multiple sequels.

I took my wife to see Dr. Strange this weekend and the preview for Avatar 2 was in front of it. On the way home I got my “I have no desire to ever see that movie, ever” speech ready when she said “Oh My God! That new Avatar looks so good! We’ll HAVE to see that in a theater”…

So I guess i have to go see it now. It looks horrible, frankly.

Well, now you can experiment to see if you can sleep with your eyes open.

I would wait for the reviews, if its good I would plan in theatres otherwise will watch it online if available (they may release it online soon if rating is not good). Heard a game will be released.
