Murder Mystery Game šŸ” 2.0

Going over more old massages and uncovered the rogue band members were using Yoko to try and seduce Mr. Andrew in a attempt to get access to his money. Thing is Yoko had other plans with an unknown person to cut out the men in the band and steal the money for themselves.

Also got a call from a bank trying to reach Mr. Andrew. It turns out someone with the necessary information has cleaned out his account. So from what I gather, Yoko was successful but was betrayed. I’ll keep going over more massages but try not to die in the meantime.

Well, someone clearly wanted to get their Mike Myers on after watching Halloween. One of the maids knocked on @Zevoros Mr. Payne’ s door only to find it unlocked and discovered his body on his bed. Some truly sick and twisted individual has cut off his entire face and replaced it with this smiley mask, stitched and taped on rather brutally. Currently doing a investigation and I’ll return with more details.

ā€œDead? Me? I can’t be…I have so much to doā€¦ā€

I heard my phone’s notification for email go off and I just had the most sixth sense ever. I just knew Avon was dead

Mr. Payne is gone but is never forgotten. Especially with that brand new face! Hope nobody minds but I like to take a picture for myself. Might get some followers on Instagram. :camera_flash:

Oh sorry, back to the investigation.

My contacts in forensics determined the cause of death was suffocation, most likely while he was asleep, then a surgical tool was used to remove his face, like a scalpel. Judging by the rough condition it’s in, they think the killer used this beat up looking pillow as the actual murder weapon.

I should also mention that a special cane of mine is missing. It can be used to access a hidden area that can lead to Mr. Payne’s room…as well as other rooms…

It seems since the band hired Yoko that sales have begun to drop. She may have the looks but lacks the talent. In an interview, the band’s manager expressed disappointment and forced an ultimatum: get rid of her or he quits.

The massages suggest the two now dead band members started to panic at the news but firing Yoko was not a simple matter since she was under contract. They reached out to to Mr. Ryan once again and offered him a huge sighing bonus. But the catch is he’ll have to help them ā€œfigure out a way to deal with Yokoā€.

In a separate massage, Yoko became aware of the interview and started to take precautions by hiring a former Captain as a bodyguard for a short while. She also reached out to the former band`s head of security since he as an actor had connections to Hollywood, hoping she could break into the movie business.

She even managed to link up at a party with some self proclaimed 27 year old rich boy who says he never needs to work. She got too relaxed and wasted, then casually started telling him about plans to rob some lucky drug addict, which him seem very interested in listening.

Seems pretty quite and not a lot of interaction these days. Hopefully folks aren’t hiding in their bedrooms, too scared of the boogeyman putting a new smile on their face. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s true, they did offer me a significant signing bonus, but I’m an aging punk musician. If I cared about money, I would have become an agent ages ago. I was only looking to kill some free time in their little side project anyway. I mean, I already have an actual band, one that I (mostly) get along with. I sure as hell didn’t need all their drama.

I told them if they wanted to deal with Yoko they needed to do it themselves. I figured the idiots would hire a lawyer or something.

Unfortunately our former Captain @SilentWraith has fought his last battle. His body was discovered in the Greenhouse this morning, shot in the back of the head. I had the maids search his room and they can’t find his briefcase anywhere. It may be possible the killer shot him with his own gun and got rid of it along with his belongings. This was also found on his body.

Tommy, I’m putting my faith in you. We share a common interest, so I won’t vote you. If you are the killer, may you never play music again.

Sorry I was taking a little nap, what’s going on again?

Well, well would you look at this! A recording on Yoko’s phone. Apparently the night she died, Mr. Wood was with her. There’s a conversation about splitting Mr. Andrew’s money fifty/fifty but then he held a gun to her head demanding all of it and in fear of her life, she transferred it all to him. Then there’s the sound of muffled gunshots.

So clearly he was happy to help her for a chance at some payback for the $2,000 he lost in the lawsuit and for being fired afterwards. But he got greedy and wanted everything and murdered any witnesses or potential witnesses in his way. But looks like his reign of terror is at an end.

Well done to the remaining guest! It only took a shit load of people dying but you finally saved the day! And yourselves!

I guess Luca Wood was tired that he kept getting killed.

Anyway, if that’s all, I can start the next game? I’d need to set it up, so it’ll take a bit

Well, congratulations, guys! You got me. I can only assume it all went wrong since the first poll. It might just be too obvious when I tried to break the tie by changing my vote. Honestly I thought it would be over at the poll, but hey, that was free 2 kills for me, so the game must go on. If you feel like the murderer this round is incompetent, I will have to say sorry and I will gather these experiences and try harder next time!

Now to each individual, starting with the victims:

@Silvereyes - Lance Andrews has a fully detailed bio, detailing his rich life of drug abuse. So I thought him would be a good 1st victim, as anyone would be jealous by his wealth, and being high on drug made him a soft target. I was surprised he didn’t get revived by the detective, probably due to the possible fake death condition. Or I was so lucky that my first kill could be the only detective role, then it turned out that was not the case.

@Zevoros - I admire what you put to your character’s tone of speaking. You act like a truly mysterious figure. I hope my extra-brutal (at least to me) kill method can satisfy both you, as Zevoros, and Avon himself! I also considered the difficulty of killing. Then I realized I could use the in-game way of accessing the secret room with a cane. Thus it made you my 2nd target. :+1:

@SilentWraith - Oh my, I made a mistake during the initial poll, didn’t I? First I was pointed out changing my vote, which made me very nervous. Then killing you was an intention to make others think no killers will kill off the one that suspect him the most. Well that didn’t work well. But I appreciate the acting of yours a lot, with the near-authentic words and terms that could come from a retired general. Well done, sir! :medal_military:

Moving on to the surviving ones:

@Heepo - We didn’t interact with each other much during the game, but thank you too for being part of the game! I see your character being similar to Silvereyes’ one, rich partying style young type. If I won the game though, I would first drown you in the toilet, then scattering all the money bills around it and the floor. It’s all to make you literally drown by money. :money_mouth_face:

@ZeroGravitas - Well we barely socialized with each other in this round, too. However, you being the most frequent player that reacted and posted after each kill was also very good! If I could, I would break your guitar and fiber-wire you with the guitar string, just like how most players usually treat the old Luca in the tutorial level. :guitar:

@linux_penguin - To be honest, you and your character made me quite mad about them. First was you setting up an unknown profile and being unresponsive to your drug kill alibi, so to me it made pretty good sense to shift blame on you. But then you responded with a shocking reaction and chose to vote on me too. I was actually worried about your feeling of being untrusted, especially because you once played the murderer role before. So meta or not, I chose to show my compassion to see if I could ease your pain. After a late night sleep, seeing you reverted the vote back on me did sudden and infuriate me.

But then I realized this all contradicted to my previous saying of this being only a game, so I could only convince myself that you were good at acting vulnerable, and I really fell for it. In the end, I hope this won’t affect our future interactions, and I hope you don’t mind too. :hugs:

Last but not least, Thank you, Mr. Nancy @Nazareth for hosting this brilliant game! I was wondering about the first round, how you and SilentWraith made plan and create a story with extra ā€œnpcā€ victims. It took me this round to get to know your excellent storytelling skill and coordinating each player. I now wonder how good it will be like if you get to play the murderer role. I guess we will find that out in the future. I’d like to see that! :star_struck:

And that’s all, my fellow victims of death! Now back to the jail cell. :classical_building:

In spite of your character being a methodical, cold killer, that post was rather heartwarming.

I can’t say much for the others, but I actually think your way of killing Avon was definitely out there enough to be really suited to his character.

If I have my way, we’ll be seeing him again very, very soon…

On another note! @plover, do you think we can get another game in, or will we be able to hop back into your game soon? No rush or anything, just curious

I mean, you took the easy route of trying to accuse me (Thanks @SilentWraith , I blame you for pioneering it) Who else could be the killer after that?

So… who was I? I know that, but the game was too short so I’m saving the big reveal for a different game.

Ah! I would love to! However, I’m going to rewrite the entire thing. I was going to make my final event Halloween, but now that the holiday season is right around the corner, I want to follow that instead!

I’m still going to be a bit busy before November 17th, but after that, I’ll get to making my game. I’ll probably have to reassign the roles.

Hope that’s alright with everyone!

I think I like to just transfer the Malcolm Wright character to this event, ditching one party for another.
