Xbox President Sarah Bond, told IGN in this short video about the new Xbox console coming in 2027. I don’t have exact details as far as release date or full description.
It will be a PC-Hybrid Console, AMD has been chosen as a partner for this new design.
The next Xbox may be similar to the Asus ROG Xbox Ally

My thoughts: I believe this will cost minimum 1,000. Sounds like they are basically making us by a Gaming type laptop that’s just in the shape of a console.
The reason I created this on the other games forum, is because I’m anxious to see how hitman games preform on this. I hope we have new Hitman by 2027. I know 007 First Light, will be big in spring 2026. This also sets up for the 2nd and 3rd Bond games as part of the triology.
Just wanted to share this, so if you decide you want to buy one, you can have a thought to start building a savings for it. I use the envolope budget when i want to save for something like a console.
They have to change something to catch up again. Being able to play PC games on console could be that. Then again, one could get a better PC for the same price and do the same with a controller. It is just chunkier.
Also an xbox player, from the 360 era onward.
I’m going to migrate to PC / SteamOS / maybe a steamdeck with a docking station.
(funnily enough for my current gaming platform, I have a heavy dislike towards windows)
I had a few games on my radar, I’ve put all game purchases on hold.
No reason to do them on a craft I’m preparing to leave.
I hope they keep doing the controllers though.
Kinda bums me for my WoA progression.
If not a cross-progression, I would appreciate a cross-platform transfer.
Incredibly dumb if this turns out to be true. It’s stupid to release a new console so soon, with how much slower game development is and there’s barely been any games taking full advantage of the current generation. If they charge a grand for a console, a person might as well just buy a PC. All Sony would need to do to beat Xbox next gen is charge a few hundred less for the PS6.
Oh well, maybe Xbox will at least finally have another console with a good name.
Hmm, you just brought something. I wonder if this is just for high end players or high end premium. I’m with you it’s too soon coming off the latest Xbox.
Wouldn’t suprise me if this is to just Target high end customers. Then even further, come out of with a console for 6 or 700 for everyone else. the 1,000 is just my guess, it could be more or less. With a title of high end and premium content, that was just the first that popped in my brain.
I still haven’t upgraded to the current generation of consoles because the prices aren’t coming down & my slightly creaky PC can still handle most games just fine. This seems like the exact wrong direction to be taking things. Everything’s shit & no one has any money.
