I’ll keep my hopes low and say it’s just news about the Hitman autumn roadmap and new celebrity ET…
(Plus an announcement for the first four games remastered in the WoA engine AND Hitman 9, all released at midnight tonight. This is, admittedly, unlikely. Wouldn’t it be great, though!?)

I’d be happy with one more expansion to WOA. 6 more maps. Continue to the story and learn how it works now that it’s just the 2 of them.
Hopefully Smith is still an ally. It would be fantastic to run into the constant in a level and he’s working as a janitor or something and everyone thinks he’s crazy bc he has no idea who he is or what happened to him before he woke up on a train full of dead mercenaries. Alternatively maybe he’s a crime boss again who has ascertained who he was in the past but the memory of it all is gone (but I don’t want him to be the main baddie, just a side character).
Edit: although then there would have to be 6 more ways to purchase the game . An add on for us who already have some or all of it. A new complete version. A new deluxe (maybe called Most Premium). A new one with only the new maps plus Sapienza (obviously the best choice for new players). A new one with only the new maps plus 7DS. Maybe one called Smith where you only get the levels Smith is in

I haven’t seen much on Gamescom really. Did Hitman get much of a mention? I don’t believe there was a huge announcement as there isn’t much updated info on the forum

For Hitman, It’s a just ios showcase, but behind closed doors the press can see the first 25 mins of first light, ready for the gameplay reveal sep 3rd

If things sound the way this article does, it might not be long before it’s announced that 47 is making his return!!
“Of course there will be more Hitman,” the CEO told the outlet. “But right now, I think we need to get to the other side of this year and next year you’ll get more news about Hitman coop, because I think co-op is a realy, really good extension to the universe, and will introduce very interesting mechanics and combinations in World of Assassination.”
Abrak then said, “we will, after that, be talking about the next Hitman—because, of course, there’s going to be a next Hitman”, confirming that the fourth game will be announced sometime later in 2026.

I hate that IO went back to numbering their games. Hopefully they just stay away from that model. Yet in retrospect, I find that possibility very unlikely.

Working on Hitman 4, no IO you are working on Hitman 8. It’s exciting though, I hope that the next game is different from the latest trilogy. That it feels like an evolution of the game and just Hitman 2016 version 1.4.
