Luckily it’s just a visual issue.
There just seems to be a disconnect with how it’s written in contract creation VS. on the main page. So long as it doesn’t say “x will immediately fail the mission” it’s optional.

I still think it’s worth mentioning considering how we are all used to the usual [Optional] to determine whether or not a complication is optional or not.
Even IOI is so used to it that they kept it when checking the objectives menu while playing the contract itself.

Brief Description:
I decided to make a hard contract. One where you have to chew on from many sides before you beat it. There are solutions that are easier than others. You can get a guard disguise from far away to get the sword closer to the next target more easily. You can use a target disguise to set something up instead of sneaking further up the tower. You can cheese yourself through it by throwing around all kinds of emetics.
But will you do that? Or are you proud enough to go the route that is harder? More forceful? Faster?
In theory, by going solely by the requirements, you can do it Suit Only. You can do it without load out. Hell you can even attempt it entirely in the Skydive Suit since it counts as one. But I cannot guarantee all that is possible, especially when combined. But how can I grasp your masterful skill? All I can do is to look up to you and wait for your leap.

Okay, technically speaking this contract indeed offers many routes, and while I don’t want to spoil the more elaborated ones, I can also tell you that the items you unlock in the base game are enough for all of them. But it surely helps if you have more equipment. Either way, you have to be creative and confident. -

Brief description: In this contract the voice of pride speaks to 47 who is an ICA facility analyst and convinces him to kill one of each type of employee in the ICA facility in varying accident kills to get employee of the month. This contract is based on using the maps mechanics to move your targets into areas to pull off specific Accidental kills.

Your client believes that they are a significant threat to the party, and they have hired you to put a stop to that. 47, use your expertise to make your targets swallow their pride. I will leave you to prepare.
Brief Description:
This is a medium difficulty contract - you will need to pay close attention to your surroundings in order to complete some of the kill objectives as some are less straightforward than others. Despite that, casual players should be able to complete the contract.
I have made a contract that features some of the waiters in Mendoza. I have chosen 4 targets that are spread out across the party, and I have chosen 4 different kill strategies. The kills are varied and there is no luck involved.
I also wanted the contract to be relatively quick to complete, yet fun and enjoyable at the same time. You don’t spend any time waiting around or dragging bodies as this is usually time consuming or boring.
Timing: quicker times are around 2 minutes 30 whilst casual players will most likely complete it in 3 - 4 minutes. My fastest time is currently 2:20 but you can most likely save a couple of seconds, especially if you are on PC.

Why should this be featured:
I believe my mission briefing is very fitting with the pride theme. My targets excessive pride has had a knockdown effect on some of the other waiters, which has ultimately resulted in them hiring Agent 47 to use his expertise and skills. This highlights how pride is a sin, and it will lead to your inevitable downfall. Sometimes, it is a good idea to “swallow your pride”.
Any improvements I could make would be appreciated.

Contract Title: The Ding Devastation

Briefing: Good evening 47. Our client, Guoliang Ding use to run a local supermarket at Chongqing but was shut down due to a sudden bankruptcy situation and is now currently homeless. This might have something to do with the 4 targets that you need to take them out in a crafty fashion. Ding would’ve been pleased if he had the supermarket re-open, little does he know Delun Ma (the final target) placed a contract on Ding to pernamently retire his dream and keep The Block as “The Block”. Take their pride 47!
Brief Description: This 5 targets contract sends you on a bit of a quest to help out a poor homeless man (Gouliang Ding) to reclaim his pride that he lost by ordering 47 to eliminate the 4 targets that he believes seems to be the culprit. Little does he know, 47 is doing two contracts at once and wants to take both the pride of the first and the last targets. The method in taking out these 5 targets may involve you looping around the main area of Chongqing. Do note that to exfiltrate the mission, you’ll need a crowbar and escape via the manhole. Because once you take out your final target you won’t find any exit. Tip with this one, bring a briefcase because you’ll need it!
The Ding Devastation might not sound like a contract that you would associate with pride, but think of it this way. How devastated would the client be if they just found out that 47 was doing a double contract and stole your dreams and pride. Quite devastating. Also, The Ding Devastation kinda has a good ring in the name.
Image Suggestion: A picture of a briefcase, a crowbar, and a hobby knife that has been placed on the table. The table in question is the one with the fan next to a closet at Level 0 in The Block area. The area is pretty much where the second target (Dean Zirko) is located and is also where you find the crowbar to help you exit the mission. Nothing else. Don’t put 47 in there. Just those three items. Make sure it’s pretty close. What the briefcase looks is up to you. I’m pretty open with what it looks.
Enjoy trying out this contract. Fingers cross that my contract might make it through to become a Featured Contract, and it’ll inspire me to make more contracts.

Our agency has received a new contract – one of the most expensive in our history and extremely exotic in conditions of targets.
The contract is for Gregory and Emma Carlisle, members of one of the richest and most powerful families in Europe, whose wealth is growing disproportionately every year.
Gregory Carlisle, despite the warning of lawyers and key figures of the Carlisle Group, personally makes many decisions that undermine the financial stability of the family.
In the conference room, Gregory always puts his family first, never ceasing to proudly repeat his surname and who he is now, and who he will be in a few years.
Despite the actions of his grandfather, Thomas Alexander Carlisle, Gregory is completely confident in his actions, and as he assures us, he acts only for the good of the family, concluding more and more suspicious contracts and connections.
Jared Walker, Gregory’s personal assistant, had tried to talk sense into Alexa’s eldest son, but he hadn’t even been listened to and had been kicked out of the office. This happened again a 2 months later, but ended very badly – Walker flew off the balcony, during a small verbal altercation with Gregory. Jared Walker crashed to his death.
The incident is considered off-limits for discussion at the Carlisle Estate, including one that occurred a few months later in an upscale New York City neighborhood with Gregory’s wife, Emma Carlisle.
Emma is the second target. Her quest for a «legitimate» inheritance has turned her life into a series of dangerous and crazy adventures. Emma, being a helpmate and a key mechanism in her husband’s criminal activities, in an instant became more dangerous than Gregory.
Our clients are several key figures of the pharmaceutical company, who at one time formed a lawsuit against Ether Biotech Corporation, which was part of the Carlisle Group.
A large law firm was preparing a lawsuit against a pharmaceutical company and was one step away from winning, and therefore one step away from the collapse of Ether shares. Emma, realizing that this could seriously damage her «future» finances, caused a gas leak in the apartment of one of the specialists who were part of the group of lawyers.
There was an incredible uproar, which was quickly and professionally brought to a winning position for the Carlisles and the case fell apart in court.
Well, it would be highly symbolic if we were to eliminate the targets using their own techniques.

PRIDE : Omar fits the theme perfectly.He is acting like God and his Prideful speech must end.
SIN : The Couple is the perfect representation of Adam & Eve at the garden of Eden.The standing Guard with his Pilot are used as Fallen Angels trying to enter Heaven.
[Gameplay] I created this contract trying to “propane flask” Omar while he still was on the platform.Initially using pistol only, I found at least 2 witness-free spots from where you can shoot your carefully thrown “sparky” propane.Waiting for his guards to move a bit and…BooM 
.Finding out that there are at least 4 flasks available and quickly acquired nearby,I decided to expand the contract.The couple has an easy kill but timing is crucial before the man leaves, after proximity is triggered.The route to the top was tested inititally with the camera-window entry.Without giving much,you ll be surprised to see that the propane near the water maintenance guy,can actually… “fly” 
The pilot has another obvious kill for the flow of the explosive run.But maybe he can be “manipulated” and even double-exploded with the guard.Hell,even Omar can be predictably explode near 4:07 (someone must feel proud ) , if you set up some…small sparks at the right spot.I finished at 4:16 on my casual testing but I can expect some faster runs already.Climbing down the ladder to get the keys to helicopter was tested with Gold Devil 47 Suit and I really enjoyed it every time !!! Are you Proud enough to Sin, Agents ?

P.S.The contract is my love-letter reference to “His Dark Materials” ( spark is just a pun for the propane ignition ) , the book trilogy , by Philip PulIman.I love this series and Lyra with her daemon,Pan, are among my favorite fictional characters!!! I totally recommend the series , along with the Book Of Dust (2 books of a new ongoing trilogy) which expands the universe.

Brief Description: My second submission thinks a bit more about which npcs would be prideful. Zachary Carlisle has an impressive greenhouse and gardens and he clearly cared for it a lot as there’s a lot of gardeners, and even if they aren’t all usually working at the same time (funeral prep), that’s still a lot. Hide all bodies (as well as no bodies found but players should be doing that already 
) is a complication I think ties in well with pride, as not wanting to others to see your work is somewhat unprideful, and each target has their own challenge for hiding/ko.

Hi Frote, I finally have a bit of time on my hands so I was planning on replacing l my submission with one that has less complications. Can you (and others) let me know which specific ones you would remove, and I’ll consider? I like the optional explosive kill and the non-target kill condition, but I’m open for good arguments.

I would personally remove the No Recordings complication as none of the heralds will go near a security camera, even when they go to the villa. Do not get spotted works if you want the player to use explosives like the duck that aren’t recognised as explosives, but keep in mind the complication will fail if a target sees you place what is obviously an explosive explosive near them. Targets only is a good one as it makes sense for the contract as a client is present, and it may persuade some more casual players to follow the rules and not drop ducks at their feet in the middle of the party.

This contract is a small little homage to the (in)famous Featured Contract, Daily Exercise 47: Basement Run. Apart from the controversy, I do remember the fast-paced action, excitement and frustration that contract offered, all within a small area of the map. Hopefully this contract offers the same experience or something similar. Sans the frustration I would hope. Haha.

The time limit here is not 1 min 45 sec lol, but it is still somewhat brutal, just like how it was in Sapienza! No worries, even if time expires, the contract doesn’t end immediately!

The issue of pride is addressed with 47 exercising to prove the naysayers wrong. There have been fewer featured contracts of late that have featured sniping in any case.
Also, while some players might be ok with completing the contract over the time limit, other players might have too much pride and dignity in them to ever be satisfied with 4 stars. And one of the most addicting things about Hitman is trying a contract again and again and again until you get it right!
