Damn, I remember him being the guy who played Rains Fall. I always loved the scene of him confronting Eagle Flies and the warband in the penultimate Arthur mission.
Dang. Dude was always a memorable presence on the screen. Always laugh when I see him as Joseph in Maverick.
- He was a fuckin kid
They Nepal’d Charlie Kirk!
Only difference is that he didn’t censor social media as far as I am aware. RIP.
But the Nepal thing could very much spread to other countries, I would like that.
I don’t know what made them think they could suppress an uprising after they torched the economic minister’s house, the national palace and a Hilton hotel.
French are gearing up for their tri-annual revolt against the government. They may burn something down then.
United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil… There are a lot of protests happening in the world.
Those flag shaggers painting St George’s Cross on their roundabouts and electric boxes? I wouldn’t say that is protest and I wouldn’t say those are the sort of people I would support.
I’m not going to interject my own opinion other than to say that people shouldn’t be shooting other people, regardless of the reason they think justifies it.
Nevertheless, a protest.

I mean maybe nothing justifies it but nothing stopped it from being an inevitability and nothing will stop it being something most people will view as a positive. So far none of the rational courses of action have worked on reactionaries like Kirk. It is unfortunate but I am not going to be shedding any tears, he said shit like this was worth it so long as it protected the Second Amendment. Hell he was spouting transphobic and racist sentiments on shootings not five seconds before he died, those are his probable last words.
I know. I’ve watched a lot of “debates” that he took part in and almost all were just him spouting nonsense, hate, and bigotry wrapped in a cloak of biblical superiority. I don’t know that I agreed with anything the man ever said, but I still don’t agree with the idea that shooting someone because you disagree with them is a valid course of action (not that anyone said it was).
You’re right. He probably was spouting transphobic, homophobic, racist, or some other nonsense while the gunman was pulling the trigger, but it doesn’t excuse it. I’m not going to be shedding any tears either, but I don’t have to like the way it happened.
Unfortunately, this incident might serve as justification for the next round of repression, but I can’t quite suppress a smirk after reading that Charlie Kirk is quoted as having said “I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.”. To be honest, I had not heard of this person before, but I can safely assume that he was okay with taking those same rights away from many, many people.
It’s without a doubt one of the most ironic deaths I can think of. His demise was literally the thing he advocated, right up to the exact moment of his death.
This aspect of America is fucked up.
When it isn’t valid it will be seen as permissible. Sometimes people just don’t know just how much they have assented to being targets of violence until they face the consequences of their actions.
Don’t feel bad, they would have found something else to justify it. That is what reactionaries do best square peg the round hole until it fits no matter how shoddily.
Because they always do, it is fine until it isn’t or because it is them being impacted. Until then they are fine to go along with it.
Yeah and he died at a young conservative speaking event making prejudicial statements, there is layers to this.
People can say what they want about the guy, but the person who did this is a coward and can burn for widowing his wife and having their children grow up without a father.
Absolutely terrible.
Everyone agrees with that. The thing is, Charlie Kirk has said “some gun deaths are acceptable so we can have the 2nd Amendment”. It’s like the most unhinged and edgy satire. The shooter ultimately proved him wrong on the podium saying “prove me wrong” in bold letters.
