I’m not getting into the specifics let alone the controversial person that is Kirk and the irony behind what happened. I’m simply stating an absolute truth that is the shooter is a coward.
That’s it not defending the man, my condolences to his wife and children.
I’m not arguing, I’m giving context to what happened. It wasn’t aimed at you specifically. Like I said, everyone agrees with you. It was a horrible event.
Outside his death. It’s beyond me how some people on the far left feel comfortable taking to social media celebrating his death as if they “won” when it reality they’re actively celebrating the very thing they want to avoid.
His movies were one step removed from the ones my parents introduced me to.
Making “All the President’s Men”, “Sneakers”, “Spy Game”, and other “Three Days of the Condor” part of the first batches of “legacy” movies I independently looked at in my teens.
Good memories.
I always find it amusing and somewhat comforting when this kind of thing happens. You’re in prison, surrounded by other convicted criminals, approximately half are there for things they actually did, and approximately half of those are violent offenders; scum of the earth types. And yet even those inmates have enough humanity left to be sickened by someone who preys on children, whether sexually or homicidally, and doubly so if it’s both. And they decide that they don’t want to share their miserable existence with you, because you are just too genuinely despicable. So they do something about it, and practice their subtraction skills, and guess what: you’re on the right-hand side of the minus symbol. It’s as close to poetry as a world of crime can probably get.
