Finished this batch yesterday. Bit of a mixed bag in my opinion.
I really liked Five Wicked Hearts in the Manor , I Love those Wicked Little Drones , and Master Exploder. 3 great contracts. Loved the Chongqing mission and got a time of 53 seconds.
I hated Agent Smiths’ Wicked Vacation and There Ain’t Not Rest for the Wicked. The trouble with these two was just the amount of time it takes to do these missions. You could be 10 minutes into a run, mess something up and have to start all over again.
(Probably more of a problem with not being able to save in featured contracts, which is why I think a good contract shouldn’t take more than 5-6 minutes just due to constant repetitiveness)
The only other thing I didn’t like was having 3 contracts on Ambrose Island. A different map for each contract is usually the way to go.
Overall I would give this batch a 6/10. Some great contracts but out-weighed by the bad, and the repeat of maps.
I learned a few things in Agent Smith’s Wicked Vacation:
First of all, I never really realized just how tough it is to get to Akira Nakamura in Patient Zero. It’s funny cause he’s so easy to isolate in the main mission.
Second, I learned that burning a target in an incinerator doesn’t count as a fire accident kill on them. It really feels like it should.
It took me forever to complete this one because, truth be told… I didn’t enjoy it much. Too much Ambrose, and way too many fire accidents. I liked a few of them (“Drones”, “Master Exploder”, “Agent Smith” in particular), hated “Something Wicked” (mostly because of Jaeger, he’s an awful target) and “There Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” is probably the worst FC I’ve played since… a long time ago. How exactly are you supposed to complete this one without gun lures?
You can lure targets to a secluded spot with a trail of coins, but this task is too tedious. I agree that this contract is one of the most dreadful ones in recent times.
Finally had some time to play those contracts. All of them with SA and 5 Stars. But… Some of them really weren’t that fun.
No One Mourns the Wicked: Was kind of easy. Somehow most of the time at least one target didn’t die by fire when piled up in an oil puddle. Finally gave in and tried the incinerator in the West house. Unfortunately: No fire kill there. So this contract is only doable with the oil canister. Would be better if there was an alternative fire kill around, so probably this wasn’t the best map for this contract. But in the end I did have fun with this one.
Dumb and Demonic: One of the better contracts here. At least for my taste. Loved the variety in the kills. And: All the necessary tools are nearby. A good mix of easy and less easy targets.
Five Wicked Hearts in the Manor: This one was the easiest contract of the batch for me. Everyone reacts excactly the way they should for this contract. Because it was that easy I even tried to beat my previous time.
Water and Fire: This one was fun to find a fast route. But again with the oil puddle… The kills weren’t that difficult and this contract could have been better with another target in the middle.
I Love those Wicked Little Drones: I don’t like contracts with a timer. And this one didn’t leave with a lot of different approaches. Just some loud explosions and running…
Master Exploder: Did this with no loadout. Took me a few tries. I’m sure it could be done a lot faster than my run. But I kind of liked this contract anyway.
Agent Smiths’ Wicked Vacation: Wasn’t for me. The first few kills felt natural and were fun to do. But to kill the Director with a Motorcyclist disguise was a pain in the ass. Just couldn’t find a route to do this sneaking around so I went for the long run: KO everyone in my way. Finished at almost 1 hour and 20 minutes…
Bank of Mayhem: My favorite contract in this batch. Frustrating at times but all my fault. Did it suit only just for the kick of it.
There Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked: Just no. Pure gimmick contract with five identical targets. And all of them in different places without real opportunities to lure them away and blow them up. I really don’t know how this could be done other than KO almost all the NPCs on the dancefloor. So that’s how I’ve done it:
The last target was easy to lure to the lower level and that’s where he blew up.
Something Wicked this Way Comes: Once I figured out how to kill the hippy it was easy sailing. Actually a cool contract and finally a use for the Molotov.
