I totally forgot about how to trigger the Hailey/Jared opportunity. Oops! I just thought thatâs how you intended me to do it, hehe. I prevented them after all!
Donât worry about it, it was a great run.
Nothing is intended. You can do whatever you want however you want. Some methods may be more or less efficient than others but you could blow everybody up with a handful of rubber ducks for all I care.
Another question: What if I use Kalmer on one of those 4 NPCs but they are woken up by a guard? That wonât count for 7,500 points, right?
Right. Thatâs why I recommend putting them somewhere they wonât be found.
However, I also need to be able to tell that they were found. For example, if body found pops up and your knocked out optional objectives are the only bodies you have so far and/or the picture in picture shows one of their bodies. You can then prevent them from being woken up to retain the points or pacify them again but better to regain them. You can also kill them or not do it at all to not worry about it.
In the interest of simplicity (and not being a douchbag), a pacification will always result in being awarded the bonus points unless I can clearly, without a doubt, tell that they were found.
Three more days until the Sisters leave Paris. This was a really solid contract so you guys should try it out :o
It was going so damn well until the end. Stupid Novikov. I should have just left. I wasnât even sure I was going to try and knock out Hailey and her boyfriend.
Clean ICA Assassin in 15:47.
95,894 + 7,500 + 2,500 + (7,500 x 3) = 128,394
The two moments that stuck out to me: the second you take around 7:15 to debate leaving versus going after Jared and Hailey and the moment about 15 seconds later where you briefly consider beating his brains in with a briefcase. I FELT your rage, though I think itâs Novikovâs bodyguard (I could be wrong) whoâs the enforcer so it was misdirected. Very brave walking around as a guard at any rate. Theyâre the worst disguise in a lot of levels in my opinion; too many enforcers, not enough upside.
I LOVED that explosion kill! It was so cool how you eventually got it off despite how much she didnât want to cooperate.
I donât know if I have the heart to tell you that for Jared and Hailey, because of their reaction to the auction going down, I accept cutting off their (eventual) âescapeâ by stealing the speedboat keys as âpreventingâ said escape. I canât exactly tell when you picked them up but as long as you cause their âevacuationâ, and have the keys, you donât have to pacify them. Please donât bash my brains in with a briefcaseâŚ!
I think it would be nice if you didnât keep bringing up new rules to this contract lol. Since people have already played it, it would be best to stick to actually having to pacify those NPCs.
(I have already played this contract 2 days back, but didnât get the time to upload and post it here)
Theyâre not new, though I apologize if Iâve made it seem that way. Think of the speedboat keys more like a redacted challenge.
I didnât want to come out and basically tell people how to do a portion of the mission. I thought it would interesting to see the different thought processes and methods for tackling auction related stuff but if just came across as maddeningly vague or awkward or something thatâs my bad. If people donât think redacted-esque âchallengesâ have a place in this thread, I can declassify (so to speak) that particular aspect of the elusive.
It does require a certain amount of mind-reading. It occurred to me that using the boat exit might be what you were talking aboutâŚbut not until my video was uploading. (I didnât include picking up the keys because I didnât know that was the important part.)
But even if I had thought of it beforehand, I wouldnât have played with that assumption since I had no way of knowing whether or not I was wrong.
I canât speak for others, but I personally donât care about the briefings
I just see it as an added bonus IF the contract is enjoyable to play. So, most of the times I donât even bother reading the briefings, let alone analyzing gameplay elements from it. I just pay attention to the side objectives and start playing. So yeah, I definitely wouldnât have figured out any of that
The one reason that stops me from getting excited to create contracts on this thread is because I have to come up with a story for that contract lol.
Contrarily, I love the briefings
Hah ik! Even tho I donât like briefings, I really appreciate the quality you put into them. And especially with the various screenshots and overlay texts, they end up looking like official briefings ngl.
I suppose I could have at least made it clearer that it was more of an alternate method as opposed to the way it was âsupposed to be doneâ. Thatâs why I didnât want to write it down directly because then it would go from âpossible methodâ to âonly methodâ. Since people seem to be leaving the same way anyway, Iâll stop drawing attention to it and Iâll try to be better about that sort of stuff should I ever manage to win again.
As for the contract creation process itself, I almost always prefer some attempt to justify why we are where we are and what weâre doing there. When looking for ones to play, I avoid the âkill order [insert number here], a contract was issued, you are clearâ ones like the plague. I generally find that a little immersion goes a long way and typically results in at least a halfway decent contract.
Anyway, as @Viv pointed out, time is running out. Thereâs still a little over 2 days and at least sheâs not winning by default anymore, but the deadline is fast approaching.

Gah, I keep forgetting! I will try to give it a go tonight!
Iâll stream it this evening, got some work to do first though.
Iâm out of likes but please accept this as a token of my acknowledgment.
(I never used all my likes before but yesterdayâs news changed that quick.)
I have given everybody likes on your behalf.
Including you. lol
